Readathon Fundraiser
The Readathon is our school’s MAIN fundraiser and we appreciate your help. It is a fun way to motivate our children to read as well as raise funds for the school. We encourage friendly competition between students and classes and will track all class totals of minutes read weekly for 4 weeks.
How it works
• Students find adult sponsors to pledge funds for reading everyday during the Readathon time frame. We suggest 30 minutes a day. Sponsor names and pledge amounts are written on the Readathon pledge form. Everyone can participate!
• Write down all minutes spent reading outside the classroom on the Readathon log. Minutes spent reading for homework count! (K and 1st grade students can include minutes adults read to them.)
• At the conclusion of the Readathon period, all minutes are totaled on each student's log. (It may be more convenient to collect funds at the time of the pledge.) Pledges can also be paid online via the school website. “No pledge is too big or too small!”
• When is the Readathon?
• Thursday, September 17, 2015 - Thursday, October 15, 2015
• All logs and pledges are due at school Friday, October 16, 2015 • Winners will be announced November 9, 2015

Classroom Team Competition
• Students will cut-out and send in their reading logs weekly and minutes read will be tracked.
• Grades K, 2nd, & 5th = Wonder Woman’s Team - (Mrs Mungin) • Grades 1st, 3rd, & 4th = Superman’s Team - (Mr. McCarthy)
The Team that reads the most gets an Ice Pop Party!!
• The one K-2nd grade classroom and the one 3rd-5th grade classroom that raises the most money for the Readathon wins a Pizza Party!
• The one K-2nd grade classroom and the one 3rd-5th grade classroom that has the MOST minutes read wins a traveling class trophy as well as an ice cream party! (Next year the class that wins the most minutes read will be able to take that trophy from that classroom!)

Readathon Recaudación de Fondos
El Readathon es la recaudador de fondos de otoño para nuestra escuela y le agradecemos su ayuda. Animamos a la competencia amistosa entre los estudiantes y las clases y seguiremos todos los totales de clase de minutos leen semanalmente.
Cómo funciona
• Los estudiantes encuentran patrocinadores adultos que donen fondos por leer todos los días durante el período de tiempo Readathon. Sugerimos 30 minutos al día. Los nombres de los patricinadores y la cantidad donada están escritos en el formulario de compromiso Readathon. ¡Todos pueden participar!
• Anote todos los minutos dedicados a la lectura fuera del aula en el registro Readathon. Minutos dedicado a la lectura durante haciendo la tarea cuentan! (K y los estudiantes de 1er grado pueden incluir los minutos que los adultos les leen.)
• Al concluir el período Readathon, todos los minutos se sumaron en el registro de cada estudiante y donaciones recogidos. (Las

! ¡El equipo que lee la mayoría recibe un fiesta de Pop Hielo!! • El salón de clases en los grados K-2 y de la sala de clase en los
grados 3-5 que plantea la mayor cantidad de dinero para la Readathon ganara una Fiesta pizza!
• Un salon de grados K-2 y un salon de grados 3er-5to que tenga los minutos más leído ganara un trofeo y una fiesta de helados! (La clase que gana la mayoría de minutos serán capaz de tomar ese trofeo de esa clase! El año que viene)
