BAPTISM - (English) The process for infant baptism
and children under 7 years old is as follows:
Parent(s) call the office to request an appointment. In that appointment the whole process will be explained.
Godparents must be practicing Catholics, be over 16 years of age, and have the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation and live their lives according to the teachings of Christ and His Church.
Godparents can be single. If the person has a partner, he/she must be married by the Church. Free union or civil marriage is not enough.
Proof of Confirmation and Marriage by the Church. The godparents must bring their Confirmation, and Church Marriage certificate (if they are married).
When all relevant documents are received the dates will be given to attend the Baptismal Parent Class, the Presentation in the Church, the class for parents and godparents and the date of the baptism.

Los padres llaman a la oficina para solicitar una cita. En esa cita se explicará todo el proceso.

El proyecto de pulir el mármol del Santuario y el granito de las entradas de la Iglesia ya se ha completado. Como pueden ver, ha quedado muy hermoso. Si alguien desea, puede
acercarse después de la Misa a verlo. Poco a poco, vamos a arreglar la Iglesia y el resto de s edificios, ara tener un lugar digno y adecuado, como ustedes se merecen.
Los siguientes dos proyectos que tenemos en mente son cambiar las puertas de la Iglesia que están muy deterioradas y segundo, cambiar a carpeta de la Iglesia.
Le invitamos a ser generosos con el ofertorio para ayudarnos a continuar con la misión de la pastoral y la renovación de los edificios parroquiales. Las cajas de donaciones están ubicadas en las salidas.

The project to polish the marble of the Church Sanctuary (near the altar) and the granite of the entrances of the Church, has been completed. As you can see, it has come out very beautiful. If you wish, you can come after Mass to see it. Little by little, we are going to repair the Church and the rest of the buildings, in order to have a dignified and adequate place, as you deserve.
The next two projects we have in mind are to change the doors of the Church which are very deteriorated and second, to change the carpet in the Church.
We invite you to be generous with the offertory to help us continue with the mission of the pastoral care of our people and the renovation of the parish buildings. Donation boxes are located at the exits. Again, thank you for your generosity!

OCTOBER 15TH
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
Specifically, October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. We extend an
invitation to those who grieve the death of their child as a result of a miscarriage.
St. Mary of the Assumption will offer a special intention for mothers who have lost a baby through miscarriage whether recent or extended years during the Masses on:
October 15th, 12 noon English and 6:30 p.m. in Spanish.
Let us pray in a special way for all mothers, fathers, and families who mourn the loss of a pregnancy or child in infancy. Let us support the members of our parish community who have experienced miscarriage and still birth, and those who long for a child in their arms.
“Eternal rest grant unto them,
O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.”

Octubre es el Mes de Concientización sobre el Embarazo y la Pérdida Infantil. Específicamente, el 15 de octubre es el Día de Concienciación sobre el Embarazo y la Pérdida Infantil. Extendemos una invitación a aquellos que lloran la muerte de su hijo/a como resultado de un aborto espontáneo.
Santa María de la Asunción ofrecerá una intención especial para las madres que han perdido un bebé por aborto espontáneo, ya sea en años recientes o prolongados, durante las Misas del:
15 de octubre a las 12 del mediodía en inglés y a las 6:30 p.m. en español.

for: peace in the world, the economic situation, our personal and family needs, and more. The month of October is also Respect Life Month. Would you consider praying the Rosary in intercession for the Pro Life cause?

Volunteers Needed
We are looking for parishioners who are available to help the parish with funeral cel-ebrations. During this time of COVID-19, the church must follow certain guidelines to en-sure a safe environment for all who enter our buildings.
For the Funeral Mass celebrations at least 4 volun-teers are needed to welcome, register, give disin-fectant and escort attendees to their seats, as well as disinfect the pews after the Mass.
If you feel you can help us with this undertaking please call the parish office at 978-685-1111 and speak to Nilsa.
