To be able to see: A commitment!

“His disciples asked him, ‘Who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’ Jesus answered, “Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him” Jn 9

Jesus saw a blind man from birth. His disciples asked him: -who sinned, this man or his parents? Who's fault was so he was born blind?

As we humans always look for reasons to justify everything, always looking to blame someone or to reward those who deserved it.

Jesus sees things through different eyes. God does not see blindness to punishment for sins, but as opportunity to manifest His plan of saving. I came to make the works of God visible.

To God there’s no guilty people; there’s only people to save, people destined to see the glory of God, people called to see, to know Jesus the Savior.

The Lord spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva, and smeared the clay on his eyes, and said to him, Go wash in the Pool of Siloam. So he obeyed, recovered sight and met Jesus. This men started his journey of faith.

The identity of who had cured him became clearly reveled little by little though out every question that He was answering. This man began to see with eyes of flesh and the eyes of faith.

Faith is light and vision, knowledge and worship. And only Jesus can do this miracle, open our eyes to see the things of God, and the things of the world, through God’s vison.

We all are that blind person, called to recover the vision of faith.

On the journey toward faith we have to go every day discovering deeper layers. In this Christian journey we must grow, mature and respond with more conviction every day.

We are called to say: I believe, Lord, you are the light of my eyes. You have words of eternal life. Only in you is salvation. You are Lord.

We are called to witness: I only know one thing, that I was blind and now I see; that I was in darkness and now I am light; that I did not previously know Jesus Christ and now I know and love Him.

Have a nice weekend!
