Until Q3 2020, Ecuador registered USD 897 million in FDI, which represents a growth of 45% y-o-y. In Q3 2020 there was an increase of 207% in relation to the previous quarter;

Mining and Construction were the sectors with the highest share (USD 473 million).

In Q3 2020, the flow of remittances reached 953.01 million USD, which shows a growth of 41% in relation to the previous quarter and a growth of 13% y-o-y. This recovery is

mainly due to the economic reactivation of countries with a high share of remittance flows to Ecuador, such as the United States, Spain and Italy.
