Today we celebrate with joy the
birth-day of Father Daniel Kayajan our
Pas-tor. The gift of life that the
Lord gave him, he has placed
it in the service of the Church
as a priest. In imitation of
Je-sus, the Good Shepherd, he
takes care of the herd that the
Lord entrusted to him with
dili-gence, dedication, humility
and joy. In his homilies he shares his
spirituali-ty, makes us reflect, question and preserve
hope, and insistently reminds us that the cross
is linked to the resurrection. He shares with us
our joys and sorrows, has a predilection and a
special love for our poor and sick brothers. For
all this and much more, we thank God for the
presence of Father Daniel among us, and we
ask the Lord that in his new mission he
contin-ue helping our brothers as he did with us.
Hap-py birthday Father Daniel! Thank you for the gift
of God in your life and your priestly vocation!
Santa Rita Community.

Evangelii Gauidium
Be merciful, just as your
Father is merciful. Do
not judge, and you will not be judged; do not
condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive,
and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to
you… For the measure you give will be the measure
you get back” (Lk 6:36-38). What these passages
make clear is the absolute priority of “going forth
from ourselves towards our brothers and sisters” as
one of the two great commandments which ground
every moral norm. (179)

Evangelii Gauidium 5 min
Domingo, 25 Junio, 2017
Uno de los mandamiento principales
«Sed compasivos como vuestro Padre es compasivo.
No juzguéis y no seréis juzgados; no condenéis y no
seréis condenados; perdonad y seréis perdonados;
moral. (179)

Twelfth Sunday in
Ordinary Time
Lord in Your Great Love, answer me.
(Psalm 69)
This Sunday’s Gospel of Matthew
10:28-32 reminds us to go forth in
Gospel Joy and “be not afraid”.
Re-assuring words for sure. So too I have
been sent here to St. Rita’s to be with
you and now I go forth to new
beginnings. I wish to say thank you to
all who took the time to be present to
me in different ways. I now leave this
week knowing that our lives have been
touched and we can be present in new
ways for God’s love and mercy.
In the recent parish appreciation
gathering there was evidence of how the
joy of the gospel was being preached
with the many volunteers and ministries
being represented. Keep up the
missionary efforts that you so
demonstrate. I leave with a tinge of
sadness but with a heart full of hope that
God will provide for all of us to do what
needs to be done to build God’s kingdom
in our midst. Thanks for the memories.
