• Founding Director (Chair) of the Research Group “Innovation, Sustainability and Development” (ISDE), including 30 full time members, Regional Government of Andalucia-U. of Granada (2007-).

Founding Director of the Executive Master in Tourism Management at University of Granada. Since beginning (2003) to present. The program has already been audited by the World Tourism Organization-United Nations (WTO-UN) for being certified as a distinguished education program in the field of Tourism.

• Founding Director of Master and PhD Programme “Economics and Management”, awarded with quality mention of the Spanish Ministry of Education, (co-chaired with Nuria Hurtado). Foundation (2003- present.

• Director (Chair) of the Department of Business Administration, U. of Granada (2003-2006), including setting up, planning, management, and evaluation of the new department of management at University of Granada which initially included 10 faculty members (full time) and 35 faculty members (full time) by 2006.

More than 6000 students attend the school and 300 faculty member and 200 administrative employees regularly worked there.
