Network interconnection and access to services

A VSAT system enables access to the Internet and public telephone services via satellite platforms.

VSAT network systems

WiFi network systems

WiFi networks systems allow to expand access to services offered by the satellite service to the health centers that do not have direct satellite access.

Asterisk was used to implement the IP telephony service. The final users can do voice calls among them and can access to the public telephony in their country.

The RouterOS, combined with RouterBoard, is marketed at small to medium sized wireless Internet service providers, typically providing broadband wireless access in remote areas.

RouterOS supports many applications, for example OSPF, BGP, firewall rules, virtual private network (VPN) server and client, bandwidth shaping and quality of service, wireless access point functions (802.11a/b/g/n long distance) and other commonly used features for routing and interconnecting networks.

Conclusions

•  The implementation of a reliable telecommunications network and high performance meets the first step in the development from the point of view of ICT: connectivity.

•  For health, education, governance, adaptation / mitigation of climate change and many other areas, it is possible to implement

specialized applications that directly leverage the infrastructure and basic services in place.

•  In Putumayo Network will be implemented some of the e-health

applications already tested in others networks, also others e-

government and e-learning apps.
