B- Professional Information

1 - Overall Aim of the Course

To gain the knowledge and the basis of different dosage forms including their compositions, advantages and disadvantages.

2 - Competency- Based NARS

Domain 1: Fundamental knowledge

1.1. Understand the design and different ways to formulate drugs in the form of liquid and solid dosage forms

Domain 2: Professional and ethical practice

2.1. To have the ability to prepare some dosage forms as powders, mixtures, emulsions and aromatic waters

2.2. To acquire the ability to deal with some lab instruments useful in formulations 2.3. To have the technical skills to prepare some cosmetic preparations.

2.4. Assess and update his scientific background frequently.

Domain 3: Pharmaceutical care

3.1. To know pharmaceutical calculations and conversions from one system to the other systems

3.2. Use different sources to obtain information and knowledge.

Domain 4: Personal practice

4.1. Gain the skills necessary for data collection, administration and communication.
