The aim of this study is to develop and implement an adapted Mexican Loteria game, in order to teach and practice vocabulary related to the hospital, symptoms and some medications in Spanish as a foreign language class in level A1 within encourage and facilitate the hospital. Common Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Finally, we must not forget that our mission as foreign language teachers is to be facilitators in the process of learning. Currently, more than 21 million students are studying Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL), which is in fact in third place in the list of the most studied languages.
Justification
Mexican game to practice some vocabulary related to the hospital, some symptoms and medications in SFL. In order to present this essential proposition, this first chapter presents the justification and the significance of this research. In conclusion, the objectives of this research and the research questions are also stated.

Conclusion
Spanish language in the world
- Teaching SFL vocabulary
Spanish is the second most native language in the world by number of speakers, after Mandarin Chinese. Spanish language disputes with French and Chinese for second place among the most studied languages in the world. In the PCIC (Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes) the lexicon is included within the functional components and it is clearly separated from grammatical content, while in the CEFR (Common European Framework) grammatical elements are included in the lexical competence.
Language Teaching Materials
- Types of Teaching Materials
On the one hand, Nunan (as cited in Alijani et al, 2004) defines authentic materials as. Ultimately, “authentic materials are chosen as an alternative for learning development and the tools and resources used are expected to promote the development of students' communication skills.” Therefore, the development and use of authentic and inauthentic materials that promote SFL is very useful to increase the number of SFL speakers.
Games
- Board Game
- Mexican Loteria
Tomlinson, 2011) However, regardless of the students' learning style, using games as a teaching material is an excellent tool and board games are attractive and used worldwide. It can be said that, within the game process, by stimulating behaviors that must be followed as part of the rules of a certain game, the ability to make decisions aimed at a certain objective can also be stimulated in the student. In conclusion, a game involves the student and immerses him in the use of game language.
Furthermore, UCN (2012) states that the first thing to know in order to play and enjoy a board game is for the participants to know the rules of the game. Another important point to consider (but not decisive) is the age of the participants for whom the game is intended. The Mexican lottery is a traditional game that dates back to the times of the revolution in
In conclusion, "The traditional Mexican Lottery consists of a deck of 54 cards, each of them with a traditional image of the Mexican Lottery (Matehuala.net, n.d. para7)". If the card appears on the player's table, it must be marked with a chip, a small stone, a bean or a cap. The player who completes the 16 numbers of the table first will be the winner of the game.
Finally, information was presented about the Mexican Lottery such as its characteristics, elements, rules and how to play it to understand part of the material proposal on which this study focuses.

- Conclusion
The case study is the study of the peculiarity and complexity of a single case, in order to understand its activity under important circumstances. It is in the public domain that the 2019-2020 school year ended without the students at the various academic levels not being able to return to the classrooms. Due to the previously mentioned, it was impossible for this researcher to complete the lecture and the application of the material designed for the purpose of this research project.
This part of the thesis emphasizes the importance of choosing an appropriate research instrument to achieve optimal results. Therefore, due to the characteristics of this study, this researcher decided to use a survey as a research instrument. In this part of the survey, the participant can answer the open points and/or add any comments to the closed ones if necessary.
It is important to note that the printed version of the proposed material was ready only a few days before non-essential commercial activities were halted due to the pandemic. On the other hand, and no less complicated, it was very difficult to match the participant's schedule with this researcher's schedule. It is important to mention that the main purpose of a research instrument is to obtain accurate and useful information for the purposes of the research, I mean answering the research questions.
In the following chapter, the results obtained after applying the proposal material, the responses of the participants and their interpretation are indicated.

- Conclusion
At the same time, it was easy for him to understand the dynamics of the game. On the other hand, playing the Mexican Lotería game made it easier for him to learn the vocabulary related to the hospital, the symptoms and the drugs, and he believed that this game motivated him to learn this kind of vocabulary learning, as he learned hospital vocabulary. symptoms and medications and only had some difficulty with some of the words. All this data points to two aspects: the participants' assessment of the material proposal based on its design and content.
On the other hand, regarding the content of the material, the researcher of this study can say that the dynamics of the game made it easy to understand and learn the hospital vocabulary, symptoms and medications. Each of the 27 cards contains a different image with the corresponding word related to the hospital, symptoms and medications in the Spanish language. Video 2 (How to Play Mexican Lotería) showed a family of three playing the traditional game of Mexican Lotería.
Several families of friends helped this researcher to illustrate the use of the Mexican Lottery. If he could not guess the word or if he only knew the word in English, he was told not to worry, as learning vocabulary was the aim of the lesson. vocabulary included using another PowerPoint presentation (PP2). After that, he asked him to bring out the Lottery boards sent earlier for the purpose of the class.
At the end of the class and as a finishing activity, the teacher displayed the PP3, while the participant tried to name all the pictures shown on it.
Research contribution
Limitation of the study
Suggestions for further research
This study showed that it is useful to learn and practice vocabulary related to the hospital, symptoms and medications in SFL-A1, as she designed an adaptation of it. Therefore, the researcher of this study suggests that there could be some more adaptations of this Mexican board game to teach more vocabulary. Another important aspect to mention is the fact that this researcher found during the course of this study that there are very few materials designed for teaching SFL around the world.
This information should motivate us as teachers to design materials adapted to the context of our country. We must not forget the fact that our mission as teachers in the language learning process is as mediators through the same process. This situation leads us to look for materials that motivate the student and facilitate the process itself.
Therefore, it would encourage the student to learn the language, even if it is not Spanish, but some language like English.
Reflection
Testing those adaptations in the classroom of SFL or any other foreign language will make the teaching-learning process fun, easy, enjoyable.
