Grupo Antolin joins Car Connectivity Consortium to boost
the development of its Access Systems
Burgos, 11 November 2021- Grupo Antolin, global supplier of technological solutions for car interiors, has joined Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) to further progress with the development of its Car Access Systems. CCC is a cross- industry organization developing global standards and advanced technologies for smartphone-to-car connectivity solutions.
By joining this consortium, Grupo Antolin will have access and participate in projects implementing the Digital Key which is a standardized ecosystem that allows consumers to easily and securely use their mobile devices to access vehicles. The standard not only enables authentication for engine start, but it also opens new perspectives for car sharing. Along with robust capabilities and convenience, it allows mobile devices to store, authenticate and share digital keys for vehicles in a secure, privacy-preserving way that works everywhere.
As part of its Smart Integrator strategy to increase value and functionality of car interior components, Grupo Antolin develops Car Access Systems based on a variety of technologies from Low Frequency for legacy systems to Ultra-wideband for the latest Digital Key standard. Thanks to its expertise and technological capabilities, Grupo Antolin offers a complete portfolio of solutions such as antennas integrated in the headliner substrate or the central console, sensors in the door handles or in the instrument panel as well as the Electronic Control Units which orchestrate the systems.
Grupo Antolin is in a unique position to design and seamlessly integrate such solutions in car interior trim components.
The CCC member companies consist of smartphone and vehicle manufacturers, automotive tier-1 suppliers, silicon/chip vendors, security product suppliers, and more.
