Close-coupled centrifugalpumps; electric motor with extended shaft directly connected to the pump up to 15 kW, new bracket construction for standard motors (Stub-shaft construction) from 18,5 to 75 kW with integrated thrust bearing. The air-liquid emulsion is forced into the priming chamber where the lighter air is separated and leaves through the discharge pipe; the heavier liquid drops back down into circulation. Once all of the air has been expelled from the suction pipe, the pump is primed and works like a normal centrifugal pump. The pump can also work with an air-liquid mixture.

CountyLine will subsequently take corrective action as promptly as reasonably possible. No requests for service will be accepted if received more than 30 days after the warranty expires. Warranty is not transferable and does not apply to products used in commercial/rental applications.

The characteristic pump curves clearly show a problem related to the testing of both pumps. At a flow rate of approximately 1.7 Lps pump efficiency, total head and hydraulic power are greatly diminished, which is not the typical behavior for any centrifugal pump. This loss of head and efficiency is due to a problem regarding the test method used: the Armfield F1 has an insufficient inlet head, thus at a high flow rate cavitation occurs at the suction of the pump. Figure 20 shows that the 1A-3/4W pump behaves in a very similar fashion as to the one depicted in the manufacturer´s supplied curve up until the point where the cavitation problem arises. Thus, it is a good approximation to use the manufacturer´s curve for calculations.
Abstract: This work stablishes the experimental procedure aimed to obtain a compressor performance map, and the description of the uncertainty propagation method in the final results of a test-rig for centrifugal compressors to improve the accuracy and therefore the precision of the experimental set-up. A mathematical method has been developed to implement all the uncertainties, errors and calibration factors of the different measuring and processing devices.
Floating composite bushes are used in the pumps which house the bearing liners and provide a face seal to the gears. This efficient seal is achieved by pressure loading precise areas of the bush rear face with fluid at working pressure. Special features are incorporated in the bush sealing face to compensate for operating variables such as pressure, speed and temperature. The pressure balancing system a minimum net on-load for high mechanical efficiency yet at the same time balancing a varying pressure distribution across the bush face, thus contributing to the high volumetric performance of pumps.

A shaft key supplied with the pump must be hand fitted when the coupling is assembled. The key or coupling should never be fitted or removed from the shaft by hammering. This will cause internal damage to pump. Avoid misapplication of pumps equipped with splined shafts, do not insert the pump shaft directly into the rigidly supported mating shaft of a prime mover. This practice should be avoided since very high radial loads can be imposed on the pump shaft unless the concentricity of the driving and the driven shafts, when under load, is perfectly aligned.
