(The conference is designed to give attendees current trends in middle school education. I will be specifically looking at workshops that focus on school climates and classroom management. Attending these workshops serve as a portion of the research that I am doing as part of my PGP and will provide additional strategies to improving overall climate in the building. In addition, I have been asked by a colleague to speak at a round table discussion after her presentation on “Reading Efficacy.”
She has asked me to focus on how teachers can design instruction to help support and build their students’ self- efficacy. This will be a great
opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from a variety of different areas of the country and to learn about the various different approaches to reading instruction.)
