Hello students, please follow the steps below to access Canvas and Zoom link for your 1st class.
Step 1. Log in to Canvas through the Portal (See below)
2. All courses will populate on Monday morning. When you click on your dashboard and you don’t see your courses, Click “courses” to the left. (See below). If you see all your courses ON THE DASHBOARD proceed to Step 5. If not, proceed to the next step.
3. You will see a list of courses. Scroll down to see “All courses” Click “all courses” (see below)

4. Now you will have to look for all of your courses. If you are in my class and you have STEM, look for STEM quarter 1 and Science as well. Click on the “star” so these courses will appear on your dashboard. (See below) The “star” should change into orange color once clicked, to
indicate that it is already on your dashboard. Do the same for all your other classes. Then go back to the Dashboard.
5. Once you are back to your dashboard, your classes may not look like this. It will be easier if you have all of your classes in view option. To do that, click on the three buttons to the right. It will give you an option to change the view. Click the 3 buttons and select “card view” (see below)
6. Now that all of your classes are in a card view, click on your first class which in my case, you will click STEM if I have you in my 1st hour. (see below)
7. Once you are on the homepage of your 1st class, click zoom on the left. DO NOT click on any other applications yet, as you will have zoom for the 1st 15 mins. of your class. (see below) Zoom is now built in your canvas:)
8. You will see this message (see below) Just wait…..
9. Once on zoom, you will notice that you have upcoming meetings. This is because you will meet with your teachers for the first 15 mins of your Exploratory/Specials classes and the first 20-25 mins of your core classes everyday (Check your 8th Grade schedule).
Click “join”(see below)
Do not worry if it says 8:30, we just did not have that option to change it to 8:45:) But at least you will be early:)
