Instructors are professionals with years of Ferrari racing experience, equipped to accommodate all driver abilities from novice to the most advanced levels.

The comprehensive and progressive learning path of Ferrari Corso Pilota empowers participants to progress through a succession of levels up to Corso Pilota Challenge, which fully prepares them

for racing. Upon completion of which, participants may choose to enter the Ferrari Challenge racing series.

Teaching in every course level is done in an intimate setting, offering participants a personalized experience that is sure to leave them confident in fully exploiting the incredible performance at their fingertips when behind the wheel of a Ferrari.

COURSE STRUCTURE

A series of courses designed for continuous progression

Corso Pilota Sport offers a complete, progressive program focused on giving participants a comprehensive understanding of sport driving techniques.

The course consists of a specific and exciting two-day training program based on an exclusive, personalized teaching method, using Ferrari cars for track work and vehicle control exercises.

Up to twenty-one customers are divided into three groups of seven participants each and receive direct, engaging instruction on the most efficient driving position in the cockpit, progressive accelerator and brake

control, establishing precise driving lines through bends and braking and acceleration techniques. Teaching leads up to thrilling car control exercises that include conditions of power over steer.

The course also provides a great opportunity for getting familiar with the actual performance of various Ferrari models thanks to a program that lets participants experience different electronic vehicle control setups. The practical instruction is completed by several theory sessions aimed at giving a more in-depth insight into driving technique and helping participants analyze vehicle behavior.

For customers who have already completed Corso Pilota Sport and grasped the basic driving techniques, Ferrari offers this second, more advanced program.

The Advanced Course admits eighteen participants, divided into three groups of six each. Participants engage in a series of intensive exercises focused on advanced, high-speed driving and vehicle control.

As always, the emphasis is on continuity in practice and safety.

The Advanced Course also involves several theory sessions that can be individually

tailored to suit the technical aptitude and driving style of each participant, thanks to the continuous use of the in-car data acquisition system (telemetry). Starting from this level of course, participants learn to analyze their own performance behind the wheel, through dynamic skill trials.

The Evolution Course divides participants into three groups of five and offers them the opportunity to develop their on-road Ferrari driving skills while also experiencing the unique thrill of driving a 458 Challenge Evo race car.

Driving techniques and excitement are enhanced by in-depth telemetric analysis with the use of competition cars and tires. What’s more, a highly personalized teaching approach is dedicated to improving the technique and personal performance of each participant in every detail. Again, this is thanks to intensive use of data acquisition systems.

As its name suggests, the Evolution Course is the natural “evolution” of Ferrari Corso Pilota. By means of dynamic skill trials, the course helps participants adapt sports driving techniques to day-to-day situations in advanced track sessions during which they discover the performance of road-going Ferraris and that of the 458 Challenge Evo race car as well as their own personal limits.

Ferrari Corso Pilota culminates in the Challenge course, the ultimate expression of sports driving courses dedicated to Ferrari customers. This course takes the sport driving concepts developed in the previous three programs to their logical conclusion.

Ferrari has created the Challenge Course to provide highly professional and technically advanced instruction in order to bring customers closer to the world of Ferrari racing. It therefore provides in-depth instruction aimed at perfecting driving technique and maintaining constant performance over timed track sessions

and also teaches participants how they can take part in the Ferrari Challenge professionally, safely and competitively. The dynamic program is based on track driving sessions related to the 458 Challenge Evo.

Chronometric and telemetric assessment is used to help participants gain familiarity with basic racing techniques, like starting and overtaking, the procedures for the various stages of a race, car setup methods and race rules and regulations.

The Challenge Course offers an incredibly exciting and professional experience for becoming a real Ferrari racing driver.

Available at Ferrari’s own Fiorano Circuit outside Maranello and the Varano Circuit near the city of Parma, Corso Pilota is an exclusive two-day precision driving school that allows Ferrari customers and their special guests to experience the performance of a Ferrari in the controlled environment of a racetrack. Since founding Corso Pilota in 1993, Italy has set the standard for development of all other Ferrari Corso Pilota programs around the world.

Corso Pilota Italy offers the complete program through four progressive courses: Sport, Advanced, Evolution and Challenge.

During the two day program, participants receive instruction, from a team of highly

qualified, expert instructors with professional training in high performance car driving. All instructors are internationally experienced and race professionally themselves.

Participants learn and practice techniques such as threshold braking, weight transfer, managing acceleration, identifying the ideal driving line on track and discovering the limits of vehicle adhesion in both wet and dry driving situations. The fleet of vehicles in Italy includes 488 GTB, F12berlinetta and 458 Challenge Evo.

In addition, Italy offers the Corso Scuola Challenge course and Corso Pilota One to One course.

Corso Scuola Challenge offers a condensed version of the Evolution and Challenge Courses. In a unique, intensive, 3 day program, Ferrari customers prepare to go Challenge racing through personalized instruction at the Varano Circuit.

Corso Pilota One to One allows customers to prefect their driving skills through an exclusive, customized course, pre-planned for their specific needs. Vehicles, technical staff and instructors are all dedicated to the customer in order to meet their personal expectations.

The extension of Ferrari’s global market in the recent years has driven Ferrari to offer more of its services globally, rather than just in Italy: Offered since 2005 at the Shanghai International Circuit, Ferrari Corso Pilota China is an exclusive two-day precision driving school that allows Ferrari customers and special guests to experience the performance of a Ferrari in the controlled environment of a race track. The Shanghai International Circuit designed by Tilke is 3.36 miles in total length. The course is an excellent opportunity for clients to benefit from the entirety of Ferrari road-car and racing based driving courses on one of the world’s most thrilling and modern circuits.

During the two-day program, participants will learn from a host of professional racing instructors managed and coordinated by Ferrari Maranello.
