TIRE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING
Your vehicle's tire information placard and/or owner's manual will tell you the recommended cold inflation pressure for all your tires, including the spare tire. So always refer to the inflation pressure specifications on the vehicle tire information poster and/or in your vehicle's owner's manual.
TIPS FOR SAFE TIRE INFLATION SAFETY WARNING
Maximum pressure indicated on the tire sidewall: This is the maximum allowable air pressure for the tire only. If you reduce the air pressure when your tires are warm, you risk underinflating your tires.
TIPS FOR SAFE LOADING SAFETY WARNING
If it is necessary to adjust inflation pressure when your tires are "warm", set their pressure to 4 psi (28 kPa) above the recommended cold inflation pressure. Use valve caps to keep the valves clear of debris and to help guard against inflation pressure loss.
TIRE DAMAGE, INSPECTION AND SERVICE LIFE
If a tire is worn or otherwise unusable due to damage or conditions of use, it must be replaced regardless of when it was manufactured or put into service. For all information on tire life and replacement, refer to your vehicle owner's manual and follow the recommendations that apply to your vehicle.

Some tire damage may only be visible on the inside of the tire. A patch is applied to the inside of the tire and the puncture hole is filled with the appropriate plug/spindle.
PATCH + PLUG/STEM PATCH ONLY PLUG/STEM ONLY
The tire must be removed from the wheel and the interior must be inspected for damage that may not be apparent on the outside of the tire. A patch should be applied to the inside of the tire and the puncture hole should be filled with a suitable plug/stem filler to prevent loss of pump pressure and contamination of steel belts and other layers.
TIRE MOUNTING AND OTHER SERVICING SAFETY WARNING
Emergency/Temporary Repairs with Sealant or Filler: An emergency/temporary sealant or filler injected into the tire, such as via an aerosol can or injection/squeeze tube, is not a proper repair and will void the tire's limited warranty. A tire injected with such a sealant/filler should be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified tire service professional.
HIGH PERFORMANCE, LOW ASPECT RATIO TIRES
Never put any flammable substance into a tire/wheel assembly and try to set the beads on fire.

TIRE MIXING
HIGH SPEED DRIVING SAFETY WARNING
No tire, regardless of design or speed rating, has an unlimited speed capacity, and sudden tire failure can occur if the limits are exceeded. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for tire pressure recommendations for high-speed driving.
TIRE SPEED RATINGS
Regardless of the speed and handling capabilities of your car and its tires, a loss of vehicle control may result from exceeding the maximum speed permitted by law or warranted by traffic, weather, vehicle or road conditions.
TIRE SPINNING
RADIAL TIRE ROTATION
Special attention should be paid if your car is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). To use a full-size spare tire in the rotation pattern of vehicles with dual rear wheels, refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for recommended procedures or consult the vehicle manufacturer.
YOUR SPARE TIRE
If your spare tire has the same size, load capacity and type of tire as your road tires, you should include it in the tire changing process. Consult your vehicle manual for the correct use of your temporary use spare tire.
TIRE STORAGE
Installing a “temporary use” tire on a wheel that is not specifically designed for it, or installing any other type of tire on a wheel intended for temporary use can be dangerous. The spare tire holder is not intended for long-term storage, except for “temporary use” tires.

WHAT IS COVERED AND FOR HOW LONG
MICHELIN ® PASSENGER AND LIGHT TRUCK TIRE LIMITED WARRANTY
MICHELIN® winter tires require documentation of the timing of installation and removal of the tires each winter to maintain coverage under the tread wear limited warranty. Michelin® temporary emergency tires are covered by this warranty for 6 years from the date of purchase or until the first 2/32nd of an inch (1.6 mm) of the original tread has worn off.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
If proof of purchase is not available, coverage will be based on date of manufacture.
HOW REPLACEMENT CHARGES ARE CALCULATED
This list is based on a predetermined price that is intended to fairly represent the actual selling price of the tire. You pay the cost of fitting, balancing and any other service charges and applicable taxes. This list is based on a predetermined price that is intended to fairly represent the actual selling price of the tire.
CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
When making a claim under the terms of this limited warranty, you must present your tire(s) to a participating Michelin® retailer.

SELF-SUPPORTING ZERO PRESSURE (ZP) TIRES AT LOW OR ZERO AIR PRESSURE
NOTE: MICHELIN® SELF SUPPORTING ZERO PRESSURE (ZP) TIRES MUST ONLY BE USED WITH AN OPERATIONAL MICHELIN® APPROVED LOW AIR PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM. NOTE: Some MICHELIN® Self-Supporting Zero Pressure (ZP) tires can only be mounted on special SH-M (Symmetric Hump - Modified) wheels.
CHECK THE COLD INFLATION PRESSURES IN ALL YOUR TIRES, INCLUDING THE SPARE, AT LEAST
If Michelin® Self-Supporting Zero Pressure (ZP) tires are supplied as original equipment, please refer to the vehicle owner's manual for full details of the low air pressure warning system designed to alert you in the event of low pressure. The recommended operating pressure is provided by a participating Michelin® dealer for self-supporting ZP tires.
UNDERINFLATION
If the tire pressure is at or below 18 PSI, go to your nearest participating Michelin® dealer (or your vehicle manufacturer's representative if so recommended in your vehicle's owner's manual) and have the tire disassembled and thoroughly inspected for any internal damage. . If you see no damage to the tire and the tire pressure is greater than 18 PSI, re-inflate the tire to the correct air pressure.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS (TPMS)
If you cannot see any damage to the tire and the tire pressure is higher than 18 PSI, re-inflate your tire to the correct pressure. See instructions for checking tire pressure when tires are warm.) Check tire pressure again when tires have cooled. If a tire has lost more than 5 PSI from the previous pressure check, have the tire inspected immediately by a participating Michelin® tire dealer (or a representative of your vehicle manufacturer if your vehicle's owner's manual so specifies). Failure to do so may cause irreparable damage to the tire and result in sudden destruction of the tire and personal injury.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND BALANCING ARE
IMPORTANT FOR SAFETY AND MAXIMUM MILEAGE FROM YOUR TIRES
Before mixing tires of different types in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle manufacturer's owner's manual for its recommendations. It is especially important to check the vehicle manufacturer's owner's manual when mixing, matching or changing tires on 4WD vehicles as this may require special precautions.
WINTER DRIVING
Michelin® tires are radial tires and for best performance it is recommended that the same size and type of tire be used on all four wheel positions.
TIRE ROTATION AND REPLACEMENT
Always check the inflation pressure of a full-size spare immediately before putting it into rotation. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommended rotation pattern, or if not available, consult a qualified tire technician.
CUSTOMIZATION OF TIRES, WHEELS, OR SUSPENSION ON SUVS AND LIGHT TRUCKS
Full-size spare tires (not temporary spares) of the same size and construction must be used in a rotation of five (5) tires. However, when only two tires are replaced, the new ones should be placed on the rear.
TIRE ALTERATIONS
Some vehicles have different sized tires installed on the front and rear axles, and these different sized tires have rotational restrictions. The new tires, with a deeper profile, can provide better grip and water drainage in wet driving conditions.
REPAIRS - WHEREVER POSSIBLE, SEE YOUR MICHELIN ® TIRE RETAILER AT ONCE
Only plug repairs are improper. A tire must be removed from the rim and inspected before repair. An improperly repaired tire will cause further damage to the tire by either leaking air or allowing air, moisture and contaminants to enter the structure of the tire.
STORAGE
FOLLOW THESE MOUNTING RECOMMENDATIONS
Tubeless tires should only be mounted on wheels designed for tubeless tires, i.e. wheels that have safety bumps or edges. Tires and wheels that are not balanced can cause steering problems, a bumpy ride and irregular tire wear.
