Directions

Teacher: Write your words and your syllable types on the blank game board. Then, cut out the blank cards below for your students to use. The

game board on the previous page is an example of how you could fill out your board.

Students: Place the blank cards facedown on the game board, covering the words and syllable types. Player 1 removes two cards at a time,

trying to match a word with the correct syllable type. If there is a match, Player 1 goes again. If there is not a match, Player 1 places the cards

back on the board and Player 2 takes a turn.
