SAFETY - DANGER, WARNING AND CAUTION

SAFETY - DECALS

SAFETY - FOLLOWING A SAFETY PROGRAM

The safety cab is designed specifically for this series of tractors and meets all legal requirements regarding safety and noise levels. After an accident, a specialist workshop should inspect the safety frame, driver's seat, seat belts and seat belt anchorages.

PRECAUTIONS FOR WORKING IN SAFETY

Before cleaning the machine, always lower tools to the ground, engage first gear, engage the parking brake, turn off the engine, and remove the key. Before any operation on the tractor, carry out the following operations: engage first gear, engage the parking brake, turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.

SAFETY - TRACTOR MAINTENANCE

Disposal of the tractor: The tractor consists of parts that are subject to regulations and laws for their disposal. When the tractor is no longer used, it must be disposed of via the appropriate authorities in accordance with the applicable regulations.

SAFETY - STARTING UP

DO NOT attempt to start the engine by shorting the starter motor terminals. Do not start the tractor without ensuring that you have perfect control of the speed and steering controls (Fig.2-14).

WORKING IN SAFETY

If you are using a front loader or folding implements or implements with high components, watch out for obstacles in the tractor's path. In case of contact with high voltage conductors DO NOT leave the tractor, but move the tractor and/or the loader in such a way that the contact is eliminated and a safe distance is reached (Fig.2-15).

DIRECTIONS TO AVOID IMPROPER USE OF THE TRACTOR

When driving up or down a slope, keep the heavy end of the tractor and implement pointed upwards. If the front part of the tractor lifts, immediately disengage the clutch (Fig.2-29).

SAFETY - AFTER USE [4.2.c]

Check for correct coupling between power steering on the tractor and the associated system on the tractor.

DANGER: Risk of

If entering or exiting the tractor through the right door, avoid contact with the control levers. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key before doing any service and before getting off the machine for any reason.

WARNING: Risk

If the tractor is used in dusty environments and to spray phytosanitary products or chemicals generally considered hazardous to health, the operator must wear individual protections (mask, glasses) suitable for the harmfulness of the actual product used . WARNING: Use individual protection during work, such as coveralls, heavy duty gloves and safety shoes.

Before Starting The Engine

Run In Procedure

GENERAL OPERATION

Start - Important recommendations

Check that the PTO clutch engagement switch/lever is in the disengaged position. NOTE: The rear PTO clutch switch/lever MUST be in the disengaged position or the engine starter will not run.

STARTING PROCEDURE [4.1.c]

A fault in the 4WD hydraulic system will therefore automatically engage 4WD even though the 4WD switch is in the off position. Failure to do so may cause the front axle to pull the tractor off the rear mounts.

COLD TEMPERATURE OPERATION

WARMING UP THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

KEEP ENGINE AT THE CORRECT OPERATING TEMPERATURE

STOPPING THE ENGINE

Starting the engine with the ther- mostarter (if equipped)

PARKING THE TRACTOR [4.1.c]

Wedges for folding wheels (if equipped)

Master disconnect switch (if equip- ped)

Clutch pedal operation

IMPORTANT: When the tractor is moving, a gear must always be engaged (except when changing range, gear or direction). Doing so may result in the operator not having full control of the tractor and may result in personal injury.

USE OF THE GEARBOX

NOTE: In ambient temperatures of -10°C or less, the shift lever and controls may be difficult to operate for the first few minutes after starting until the transmission oil is warm.

Therefore, the Park-Lock must be activated every time you want to stop the tractor with the engine stopped, especially when the tractor is on a slope. ATTENTION: When the Park-Lock is activated, the engine starts but the tractor does not and the buzzer is activated.

Xtrashift Maintenance

Should the reverse shuttle be shifted into forward or reverse gear with the Park-Lock still engaged, the buzzer will be activated until the Park-Lock is disengaged. Now the shuttle can be switched to forward or reverse and start the tractor.

Xtrashift troubleshooting

Always stop the tractor safely: Set the parking brake (3), engage the parking lock (1) (if equipped), disengage, disengage the PTO, bring all gearshift levers to neutral, lower any equipment to the ground, turn off the engine, and remove the ignition key BEFORE leaving the driver's seat.
