Camellia oil is not susceptible to resinification and may also be used for cleaning, sharpening and lubrication pur- poses. the oil contains a small amount of high-purity liquid paraffin. thus the oil is water-repellent and shows an extreme resistance against acids e.g. hand sweat. It is non-toxic (paraffin is often used in the cosmetic industry) but not food-safe. not suitable for direct contact with food and kitchen knives.
