Criminal Justice III 62 690

This one-year course provides students, who have successfully completed Criminal Justice II with advanced skills in the criminal justice field. Emphasis includes physical and scientific evidence preservation, interrogations, federal rules, and legalities involving arrests and search and seizure. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the elective credits required for high school graduation.

This one-year course provides students who have successfully completed Health Science II with the necessary skills to achieve the level of Emergency Medical Technician. Students completing this program are eligible to apply independently for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Exam. This one-semester course provides work-based learning experiences for students focusing on a specific career cluster. Students will spend a portion of time in the classroom and a portion at the internship site. Internships can be paid or unpaid work experiences of at least 30 hours in length. In order to receive credit for this course, students must fulfill all classroom and internship worksite requirements. This course will fulfill one-half elective credit for high school graduation and may be repeated for three additional semesters for a total of two credits.
