Maintenance of Roads and ancillary assets. Repair of potholes, small delaminations and localised failures
These are defined as small breaks and depressions where loss of pavement wearing surface has occurred.

Major Patching Defined as failed areas of pavement and
seal up to 100 sq.m requiring excavation of pavement by plant and reinstatement to original design standards.
When a failed area results in a public hazard, the sealed surface no longer holds, extensive shoving has occurred and road surface drainage is no longer effective. Conventional methods of maintenance fail to maintain the surface.

Bridge Maintenance Regular maintenance of bridge decking,
wearing surface, drainage, abutments, side rails and foundations including temporary repairs or erecting appropriate barriers, removal of dirt and gravel from kerbs and expansion joints, keeping the waterway area clear and free of weeds and debris. Level 2 inspections of bridges and culverts will be carried out every 3 years in accordance with VicRoads Bridge Inspection Manual.
If required, Level 3 inspections will be undertaken.
Blocked drains, loose planks, erosion and scouring, gravel build up on decks, blockages or restrictions to the waterway areas, accident damage, missing signs and recent flooding.
Note: inspections cover obvious faults. Any major faults will be referred to a structural engineer.

Tree and vegetation control is required to maintain minimum clearance over footpaths. Low or overhanging branches are trimmed to provide clearance for safe pedestrian usage of footpaths.
