As of January 1, 2011, 73 ambulatory EHR Products have been certified by CCHIT based on the 2008 and only 13 have been certified on the new 2011 criteria. However, there are 90 ambulatory EHR products that were certified in 2006 and 50 EHR products have been certified based on 2007 standards. Furthermore, we estimate that less than 30 products will meet the new ARRA 2011 CCHIT certification requirements since “interoperability” will become a major emphasis starting on January 1, 2011.
