We knew from the very start that Portland was going to be fabulous, because we had the largest number at our pastors’ luncheon we had ever had. The excitement was tremendous, and we started 193 video healing schools to train healing teams for the Healing Explosion.

And what an explosion it was! We outgrew the ballroom at the hotel with healing teams and had to move our Friday meeting to the Coliseum where we anointed the healing teams after giving them “the charge”!

When the worship started, over a thousand people came down on the floor to praise Him in the dance, and everyone felt a tremendous anticipation from the audience.

Many people were healed of cancer as they came down on the floor at the beginning of the service. We had the greatest number with cancer we had ever seen!

The newspaper and TV coverage reported ten thousand people attended the meeting, and 4,500 received the baptism with the Holy Spirit. What a revival that brings!

And just as it happened in Brazil, a man jumped out of his wheelchair without anyone laying hands on him. There was hardly room enough on the floor of the Coliseum to hold those who came for the baptism.

It was a night for the healing of scoliosis! Many people came to the stage and reported their backs straightened out and pain left as healing teams laid hands on them. Multiple sclerosis disappeared, and numerous people came out of wheelchairs. Many people were healed of deafness. There were so many healings we couldn’t keep up with them! A

girl born with club feet was healed and the two feet became the same size instantly!

It’s happening in AMERICA!

Tune in to these testimonies which resulted from the Portland, Oregon Healing Explosion,

“My sister, who is Baptist, was one of your trained team members in Portland. The Sunday after the Explosion found the entire church talking about healing and had team members ministering in the service with a healing line.

“One of my customers, a mainline Baptist type organization, witnessed one of their people healed of a back problem. This person had been in bed for one year because of his injury. It has the whole facility in a tizzy.

“I have heard no denominational back stabbing or negative remarks from the evangelical association or members, either openly or quietly. In fact, I have heard several encouraging remarks about the thousands who came forward for the Holy Spirit.

“I personally was moved to tears more than once that Friday evening, recognizing that Portland would never be the same! Praise God!”

“Since you made us promise to write and relate some of the exciting events that took place at the Explosion, I thought I’d hop to it.

“To say it was a life-changing event would be an understatement.

“When the two of you and Bob and Joan began to lay hands on us for the anointing, all three of us looked at each other and that huge Coliseum and wondered what were we doing there? Satan thought he would throw one last dart at us.

“When you (Frances) put your hand on my head and asked for the anointing to be imparted, it was like a bolt of lightning went right down through me and flooded me with peace and all my doubts were gone. It was almost as strong as the first time you laid hands on me to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit back in the early 70’s in Tacoma, Washington. With that event, God totally changed my life.”

“You asked for reports and I do have one. The second day after I got home from the Portland Explosion a friend called to tell me about her sister, due for gall bladder surgery. Well, for the greater glory of the Lord, I drove to her house and did exactly as we were taught and made a new friend and went home.

“Three days later her sister called to say she would not need the surgery. The poiyp blocking the duct was gone!

She had not told me about the poiyp - only that she had to have gall bladder surgery.

“So, as Charles did, I spoke into her a new one fresh from God’s warehouse!”

“Enclosed is my check for $1,000 that takes care of an IOU that I made to God at the conference. The Lord has done numerous miracles financially and I am a firm believer in investing in the kingdom as a demonstration of my trust in God my Father. Though I committed to make this offering in Portland, I had to wait until I returned from Hawaii to write the check. The neat thing was that before I could get the check written, God had cleared the way for an insurance settlement that will pay me more than $16,000 this week, in spite of people saying contrary. I have chosen to trust God and not walk in fear or strife. I’m believing

though for an even greater return because of the season we are in. As the Word says, ‘the desires of the righteous will be granted.”

“Another one of our members had invited his family from Seattle to come to the Healing Explosion. His mother, father, grandmother and two sisters came. Saturday after the ‘Explosion’ they went out for lunch at a restaurant near our home. As they were finishing their meal, his grandmother had a stroke. They called us and asked if they could bring her here for prayers. When they came, the left side of her face was drooping, she had no control of her tongue or mouth, and could not talk, she had much fear and confusion. We bound Satan, cast out the spirit of death and stroke and commanded, •in the name of Jesus, a sound mind and her body to return to normal. Within twenty minutes she was back to normal. Her face was back to normal, the color came back, she was able to talk perfectly and all confusion and fear was gone - no problems since.

Thank you Lord!”

“During a ‘prove-me’ offering, Frances said that someone would receive from the Lord on or before February 14, 1987. Our need seemed great and February was our wedding anniversary. We remembered Frances’

words and as February 14th approached, we would encourage one another with the hope of receiving God’s provision.

“We had gotten into a season of prayer beginning at 4 a.m. and on one February morning as we were ending prayer about 6 a.m. the doorbell rang. A friend was at the door. As my husband opened it, this friend handed him an envelope and said that the Lord had told her to come then

and give it, hugged him, said she loved us and turned and left.

“When we opened the envelope there was $1500 cash and we were stunned - immediately the ‘prove me’ offering came to our minds and we thanked and praised God for His goodness and faithfulness. For us the timing and the amount were miracles.

“Other times we had heard dates given for people to receive blessings. This time as Frances spoke we got a hold of this date for us and by February 14th we had used the

$1500 to meet the needs for which we had been asking God to provide!”

“These weeks following the Portland Healing Explosion have been a time for prayerful consideration of a truly ‘mountain top’ experience. It indeed has changed my life. I want to bring you up-to-date.

“My brother, who publishes the Northwest paper

‘Christian Update’ attended the Explosion. He told me this:

“Kathy (his wife) and I have attended many, many events but never have we felt so completely sure of the Spirit’s presence in all that was said and done. We felt total peace that the Lord was having His own way at all times.

We were at ease right from the beginning. He said that you have taught the will of God with the truth and pureness so often lost to greed. He was impressed by the ‘ordinariness’

If you have any doubt about long distance prayer working, you won’t have when you finish this next story:

During the Portland Healing Explosion in July, we learned of the abduction and brutal beating of a Seattle pastor’s young daughter. She had been left unconscious in a

drainage ditch with her head underwater. Initial reports claimed the child was brain dead.

Immediately all fourteen hundred of the healing team trainees joined us in binding the devil and speaking healing over the child.

During the Healing Explosion, a progress report reached the stage stating that she was still critical, but her little bruised and battered body was at least responding. We again prayed en masse for her total healing.

Does “long distance” prayer work? Oh, yes! Jesus’

power is not limited by walls or distance. Read this article from a recent “local” newspaper regarding her

“miraculous” recovery:

HOSPITAL DISCHARGES ELLENSBURG TODDLER

“Describing Theresa Johnson’s recovery as

‘miraculous’ and ‘unexpected’, doctors at Seattle’s Children’s Orthopedic Hospital agreed to discharge the Ellensburg girl this afternoon.

“A discharge panel of eleven health professionals reviewed the toddler’s case Thursday afternoon and

‘decided she had recovered almost completely and is ready to go home,’ according to Dean Forbes, a hospital spokesman.

“The child has been hospitalized since July 30 after she was abducted and beaten near her Ellensburg home.

“Theresa’s speech is not yet fully recovered and she will need to continue seeing a speech therapist in Ellensburg. That, however, is the only therapy the young girl will need.

“Forbes said there is some concern the child’s vocal chords were damaged during intubation. On two occasions a tube was inserted in Theresa’s throat to help her breathe.

Forbes said Theresa is scheduled to return to the hospital next week to have her throat checked.”

In addition to the newspaper coverage, the local television station monitored the child’s progress. The anchor man reported very plainly that many people had been praying for her complete recovery. Even the news media gave credit to the Lord.

Praise God! Prayer works!

Another miracle!

“Hallelujah for the Portland Healing Explosion! The two-and-a-half days of training plus the Friday night at the Coliseum were the greatest in my life. And I’ve been around a long time. My profession is that of a registered nurse and at sixty-six years of age I am now realizing the full impact of God’s purpose for me in the healing ministry.

“The reality of God also lies in another area. Of the several collections that were taken throughout the week there were two that are remarkably impressed in my spirit and mind. For the ‘prove me collection’ I was going to put in a big $20.00 but the Lord had me add another zero and make it $200.00.

“Then for the collection to receive the greatest desire of our hearts, I was prepared to put a big $10.00 in for a friend’s healing. But the Lord had me add another zero and make it $100.00. By Friday noon I took a peek at my checkbook balance and there wasn’t enough to pay the hotel bill via check so I had to charge that, a total contradiction of my financial conscience. However, I was at such remarkable peace, a peace beyond explaining or understanding, that I fretted not. I bet you can guess why.

“When I arrived home about 1 a.m. there were two calls on my recorder. A clerk in the Bankruptcy Court in Chicago had left a message she had a check for me and needed my address verified. The check was for over

$22,000 (yes, twenty-two thousand dollars) paying me for payrolls I had to pay that were not my responsibility. As a creditor in a large bankruptcy case of several years ago I had thrown all my records away on the basis of total futility. But some clever lawyers in the bankruptcy court petitioned the judge to subrogate my claim in front of the IRS and Small Business Administration. The judge agreed and set a legal precedent! The justice of our God reigns.”
