VIEWS-The points and parameters of consideration are same but the method of depiction is vague and unclear. Out of above told many yogas, not even a single yoga is applicable as it is. In every natal chart, results of combination will vary on account of different lagnas, and altogeather different planetary set up.
COMMENTS ON SH. R. P. GAUR IN HIS BOOK DAMPATYA JEEVAN AUR JYOTISHA ‘–
As Sh. R. P. Gaur in his book DAMPATYA JEEVAN AUR JYOTISHA ‘says clearly that –there is NO MARRIAGE YOGA if There is Saturn and Moon in 7th house. I want to say that Saturn and Moon cause PUNARPHOO YOGA which is correctly known yoga for delaying the marriage but PUNARPHOO should be operative anywhere in the horoscope like in the lagna, or 5th house and also through aspectual connection from other houses too. Why only conjunction in 7th house is taken and the quality and lordship of Moon and Saturn will only delay and may not deny marriage. So the yoga can’t be applied authentically.
Similarly the revered author has told that there shall be no marriage when —Malefic are in lagna and 7th house.
I strongly say that this kind of declaration is misleading to students of astrology and malefic are in lagna and 7th house in thousands of natives. All don’t stay unmarried. Many a times natural malefic planets act as yogakaraka and behaves in far
better way than natural benefics which turn functional malefic in the natal chart.
Taking another yoga for no marriage by sh. Gaur is – - There is Saturn and Rahu in ascdt.
Further the author says, if Saturn and kethu in the 7th house gives delay in marriage.
Now the point the combination of Saturn and Rahu/ kethu is RIGHTLY put up as a hindrance to marital bliss. But the applications can be multiple and many combinations of Saturn with Rahu or with kethu can operate differently depending on quality of the planets and not necessarily the yogas will give the exact results depicted in the book.
COMMENTS ON YOGAS GIVEN BY MRS. TRIVEDI
-Similarly I would like to put forth the yogas given by revered astrologer mrs. Mridula trivedi which although correct at the root level but various permutations and combinations hold the key and all yogas are LAGNA dependent. Many a number of yogas given in the books are relevant by Mrs. Trivedi but the final point is that we have to discriminate between generalized and logical yogas and discard the vague or general yoga for the sake of precision in the subject.Considering this yoga for example given for delay/denial, author says -Saturn placed in 12th from Venus or from 7th lord and Sun in 2nd house from these two factors.
In my humble opinion, this yoga will not operate as such.
The students when cram such parameters as it is, they get confused and start losing faith in revered science of astrology.
All yogas give different results for different lagnas as the lordships of planets change and so lagna being the pivot of horoscope should not be lost sight of.
Another yoga I take as an example, when the author says-Saturn in 7th house with or aspected by either Sun or Moon
delay /deny the marriage.
My humble explanation of the same is – Saturn will come in conjunction with Sun for one month per year and in aspect to Sun at least for one month per year. So for two months in a year Saturn will connect with Sun and daily at least for one lagna native, Saturn will come in the 7th house. This yoga will give no marriage to natives born in those two months and in particular ascendent seems to be illogical. Moreover with Moon Saturn will keep on coming into aspect and conjunction several times in a month.
Saturn makes PUNARPHOO YOGA with aspect/conjuction to Moon irrespective of it’s placement in house and this punarphoo is bad for marital negotiations.
So the authenticity of such yogas is doubtful and not considerable. Planets which are told to be of the calibre of cancelling of marriage in my view can give a problematic marriage which is worse than NO MARRIAGE CONDITION. If other factors are conducive and dasha is favouring marriage and other planets are better placed than the negative planets engaged in bad yoga for marriage, marriage is possible. Thus the results come in judging the potential of planets in totality.
No planet will give or deny the results single handedly.
The following points are considerable in the working of a
yoga-— We have to look into detail of the matter and predict the result of planet involved by placement, aspect or conjunction.
— How other planets are connecting to that particular result oriented planet.
— What is the lordship of that planet in the natal chart. Is it functional malefic or benefic is to be looked for.
— What is planetary bala or strength and what is it’s quality.
— What is position of planet in navamsa chart.
— Who is dispositor of that planet and how dispositor is connected to the planet under scrutiny.
How that planet can bring out result and to a large extent it all depends upon how the results are mitigated by other planetary forces and other yogas in the horoscope and then the dasha pattern. A careful study of horoscope and all angles are to be dealt with to reach a concrete conclusion.
All the facets of the horoscope which indicate marital life are to be dealt with along with dasha pattern and navamsa chart analysis to be authentic to make a genuine analysis. These are generalized views and cannot yet be followed blindly to handle the vital and vast topic of marriage and intricacies of marital life.
NOTE:- I have dealt very briefly with yogas of delay/denial and early marriage as well as timing of marriage in another chapter (CHAPTER 14). This chapter too has the brief description for the reason that I have already started with the different book on the same topic ‘MARRIAGE & TIMING THROUGH ASTROLOGY’. In that book I will give all details about early marriage yogas, delays and reasoning behind the delays and denials, love marriages and failures of love marriages and timing of marriage based on various conditional dashas besides vimsottari dasha and transit principles will be analysed too.
So in the current book, in chapter 14 I shall be just touching the above told topics grossly.
