4.1.4 Conclusiones
Susan E. Brown, PhD, CCN, medical anthropologist and certified nutritionist, has consulted widely
on socio economic, cultural, educational, and health issues. She has taught in North and South American universities, and has written numerous academic and popular articles. She is also the author of Better Bones, Better Body: A Comprehensive Self-Help Program for Preventing, Halting
& Overcoming Osteoporosis , and coauthor of The Mend Clinic Guide to Natural Medicine for Menopause and Beyond.
Currently, Dr. Brown directs the Osteoporosis Education Project and the Nutrition Education and Consulting Service in Syracuse, New York. With the osteoporosis project, she conducts primary research, lectures widely on osteoporosis reversal, and teaches the use of a holistic, natural program for the regeneration of bone health. The Nutrition Education and Consulting Service (NECS) provides consulting, education, research, and lecture services for health professionals and the public, as well as long-distance nutrition consultations by telephone.
In addition to running a busy private practice, Dr. Brown serves as consultant to various medical and industry groups, including Technical Sourcing International, Lane Labs, Natural Option Corporation, pH Sciences, Inc., Seraphim, Inc., ELISA/ACT Biotechnologies, and PR-Osteo.
Dr. Brown received her PhD from the University of Michigan in 1972, and is the recipient of two Fulbright-Hays Scholar Awards, and an Organization of American States Research Fellowship. She is also a member of Sigma Xi, the honorary Scientific Research Organization of North America.
