4.7 Contabilización de Pagos Mediante el Programa de Pagos Automático
The college has been working for its objective ‘Education for all’, for over all development of the students and to develop the gross enrolment for the student to provide quality education, to promote scientific temper and to inculcate cultural values.
The college has formally stated quality policy on the following levels – such as infrastructural development, seeking funds and, quality improvement as per the guidelines of the university. The college has prepared organizational structure for decision making.
The college is keen about regular update of the teachers’ knowledge and skills. To encourage and depute to participate in conference, seminars, workshop and refresher courses aimed at enhancing skills.
Major efforts are taken to monitor effective and efficient financial resources to be availed as internal and external audit. Some major resources of institutional funding are like – Fees and management assistance etc.
Various Committees are constituted every year for the effective functioning of the College. The convener and members of the each committee are nominated by the Principal from the staff and the members from the management are nominated by the Chairman, Managing Committee. Staff Council consisting of all the Heads of the Departments is the central organizational unit which meets frequently and takes decisions on the issues that matter into the way of functioning of the college.
The meetings of the managing committee and college committees are held regularly.
There is a flexible time schedule for conducting meetings to discuss the items of significant that matter the situations from time to time. The staff council meetings are frequently held and the agenda pertaining to the items are normally coverage of syllabus, conduct of examinations, student’s attendance, library books, students and staff grievances and redressal, staff service matters, financial matters, performance of the students, participation of students and staff in extension activities.
The college has established IQAC to assure quality. The IQAC is the highest authority to make the policy and the monitor the implement of it. The IQAC communicates internal and external to stakeholders at appropriate opportunities.
7.1. Environment Consciousness
7.1.1. Does the Institute conduct a Green Audit of its campus and facilities?
The College is very keen on environmental issues. It conducts Green Audit in an informal way and maintains the following aspects in this connection with green audit.
Consumption of electricity in the campus.
Usage of Rain Water Harvesting System.
Eco-Friendly practices.
Integration of sustainability principles and practices through various awareness programs.
However, the college has plans to constitute a formal committee to take care of green audit of the campus.

Existing high energy consuming electricity bulbs are replaced with energy saving tubes, CFL’s and sodium lamps and fans. Energy consumption in classrooms, labs, auditorium, corridors, quadrangle, is closely monitored by turning off power during the day and immediately after classes get over. The management of the college has plans to utilize the solar energy and for this purpose decided to install solar electricity generation plant. To minimize water shortage, rainwater harvesting system has been set up. The water thus collected and conserved is put to maximum use and utilized for daily routine purposes. Measures are taken to restrict vehicle entry into the campus and the specific parking lot is allotted for faculty and students.
The college has an ‘Eco-club’ that functions actively in making the campus green. Actions are being taken to make the college campus is totally a plastic free zone. The use of plastic bags, cups, bottles and plates is restricted to the campus and the services of NSS volunteers of the college are utilized to create this awareness among the staff and students. The Discipline Committee and student leaders ensure that the classrooms and campus are kept clean and plastic free. Dust bins are kept at all places to maintain cleanliness. The Department of Environmental Science has introduced and campaigned to use Eco-Ganesha instead of coloured idols. The college maintains Greenery all along the four corners of the quadrangle. Large numbers of herbal plants are maintained.
The college disposes the waste material without causing harm to the nearby people. E-waste is disposed through auction to the outside agency. Students were sensitized on the necessity of effective waste management through invited guest talks organized by Department of Environmental Science.
7.2. Innovations
7.2.1. Give details of innovations introduced during the last four years which have created a positive impact on the functioning of the college.
Inculcating ethical values amongst students.
To imbibe cultural, social and moral values amongst students, the college has introduced various programs and activities. The college celebrates birth anniversaries of great personalities such as Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, S. Radhakrishnan and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Nation building activities like observance of communal harmony week, campaign against terrorism and communal riots, have also been conducted in the college.
To inculcate deep rooted Indian ethos, the management of the college provides the open air auditorium and quadrangle to Sri Seshadripuram Ramothsava Samithi for celebrating Ramanavami through a three weeks long musical festival. This has been done from the past 65 years uninterruptedly with the same spirit.
Swami Vivekananda Study Circle.
To inculcate Indian heritage and culture, the college has established Swami Vivekananda Study Circle. It conducts various activities / programs by Inviting Guest Speakers.
Gandhi Study Circle.
To impart Gandhian values and philosophy, the college has established Gandhi Study Circle, through which it conducts various activities by Inviting Freedom Fighters, Gandhi Followers and National Leaders.

Initiatives taken by the management to promote Best Practices
Sri Ramanavami Music Festival:
The management of the college is keen on upholding the spiritual and moral values of the society. The Management facilitates open theatre (Kuvempu Ranga Mandira) to conduct Sri Ramanavami Music Festival. This socio-cultural program has been in practice for the past 65 years with the same zeal and fervor.
The Management gives full honour for the retired staff (Teaching and Non-teaching) during the ‘Get-together Meet’ of all the staff working under Sheshadripuram Educational Trust, called ‘Sneha Sammilana’ an annual programme. The idea of this meet is to create cordiality and harmonious relationship among the staff.
Community service through Voluntary Blood Donation Camp.
The mega voluntary blood donation camp is organized on 31st January every year in commemoration of the former president of SET Sri K.M.Nanjappa.
Sri K.C.Puttanarasaiah Endowment Prize : The Management bestows cash prize to students for securing highest marks in BA
and B.Com.
Prathibha Puraskar : The management honours meritorious students by giving them the cash prize of Rs. 5,000. This motivates students to excel further in studies.
The management helps economically backward students by giving fees concession. It also permits poor students to pay fees in installments.
The management has magnanimously contributed Rs.50,00,000 (Fifty Lakhs only) to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund towards the flood victims of North Karnataka on 02-11-2009.
The Management motivates teachers to achieve academic excellence. As a token of appreciation the management pays Rs.
400 for M.Phil. and Rs. 600 for Ph.D. holders every month.
The management extends infrastructure for various competitive examinations conducted by UPSC/KPSC/UGC/CET and other examination authorities.
Teaching and non-teaching staff are given EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Group Insurance and other benefits.
Group Insurance of Rs. 50,000 is extended to all the students of the college.
