CAPITULO IV: CURSO DE FORMACIÓN/CAPACITACIÓN DOCENTE
4.5 Breve descripción del curso
4.5.1 Contenidos del curso
1. Every young adult should have the blood pressure checked at all clinic visits and the BMI should be monitored and maintained at optimal value.
2. There is need for more aggressive health reform, incorporating health education about hypertension and obesity at the primary health care level as part of the strategies to reduce coronary heart disease and other non-communicable diseases in our communities.
3. There is pressing need for a regular National Health Survey on non-communicable diseases in the country.
4. Further studies are needed to determine which of the anthropometric measurement is a better predictor of cardiovascular disease risk in the six geo-political regions of this country.
