9.2. Control de las RNI y su comunicación

Regarding the hydromagnetic, or hot-plasma, theory, Le Poer Trench briefly suggests the possibility that instead of natural space magnetism, the UFO technologists have harnessed artificial electromagnetic power of nuclear proportions out of the atomic fusion effect (H-bomb principle).

Hans Lauritzen of Denmark [20] carries this concept a bit further by dealing with cold instead of hot plasmas of ultra thin ionized gases. The cold plasma could be made superconductive at cryogenic (ultra cold) temperatures and produce great power endlessly in giant frozen magnetic coils.

Lauritzen has also advanced a theory that UFO's might use some sort of "bootstrap" mechanical system of springs that can be beefed up to produce all the mega horsepower forces needed to gyrate through the skies[21] . Again, this concept seems a "graft" of our technology onto a technology that is far beyond such "primitive" principles.

It is far more likely that UFOnaut technology has long since abandoned hydromagnetic plasmas, thermonuclear reactions, gigawatt laser jets, or any other concept we know, along with the steam engine and the gas burner, and has probably gone beyond the next three big steps we will make in motive power, too.

A more imaginative concept for UFO power can be mentioned in passing - using vacuum technology to fly around while in earth's atmosphere, if not in airless space.

The vacuum conditions produced are vaguely attributed, by the author, to the use of "cathode rays." But, granting that vacuums could be created instantaneously in the outside atmosphere around a saucer to any degree

from "soft" to "hard," the craft would then create a continuous "vacuum tunnel" ahead of it and be driven forward by air pressure from behind.

Sound in principle, the concept sounds difficult to achieve in practice, with perhaps not enough flexibility in flight dynamics to account for the unrestricted movements of saucers. It is much more likely that the UFO power plant is a supremely simple device with a minimum of hardware controlling macro power.

We come now to the two main propulsive possibilities that seem the most valid - the gravity and the force-field concepts.

They are alike in one significant way. Both of them eliminate or suspend the normal laws of inertia within the saucer to allow for UFOnauts to withstand body-crushing g-turns and shipwrecking stops and starts with no trouble at all.

G-Field Control

The gravitic approach is sponsored by Professor Hermann Oberth, famed "father of space travel," whose theoretical and engineering equations led directly to the V-2 rocket and all space launchers of both Russia and America.

In essence, Professor Oberth's concept is that each UFO creates its own private gravitational field, which immediately makes it independent of earth's gravity pull so that it can easily hover and achieve high speed at will.

In addition, his idea allows for controlled interactions with earthly gravity to pile on acceleration to any degree and in any direction relative to earth - a distinct feature of UFO maneuvers.

The greatest virtue of the g-field drive is that it would automatically make all parts and persons within the craft subject only to its internal gravity, not to earth's gravity. That is, every atom and molecule aboard the UFO is within this protective cocoon of independent gravity and goes with it routinely regardless of outside conditions or forces.

Therefore, the UFO and its pilots are not subject at all to the formerly inescapable law of acceleration in earth's gravity field. Nor do the UFOnauts have any earth "weight," since there is no outside "pull" on their bodies. In effect, they are in weightless "free fall," quite like the astronauts in orbit but right down on earth. For that reason the craft can make an abrupt right-angle turn without any g-effects such as all inhabitants of earth must suffer if they try it. Every atom of a saucerians body, within the UFO's own g-field, turns with that g-field. Earth has lost its grip and its power to affect the craft at all.

The g-field also neatly accounts for the utter silence - except perhaps for the low whine of its g-field generators - of UFO's in flight, for the air around the saucers is dragged along instead of roaring past them. For the same reason there is no heating by air friction, and the craft remains cool despite speeds of 5,000 or 10,000 mph through earth's dense air, which would melt and vaporize any known metal or alloy on earth, and destroy any ingenious ceramic-plastic ablative material such as those used in the heat shields of our manned spacecraft. As for the spectrum of colors displayed by saucers, Oberth believes that this comes from the power plant's manipulative g-forces that convert short rays into long rays to release power - that is, from the violet end of the visible spectrum to the red end. Each particular movement of the UFO - hovering, acceleration, sharp turns, high speed - would result in a color change as the electromagnetic vibrations that produce colors change frequency and wavelength.

Amplifying this point, Paul Norman[22] says: "The influence of gravity on light has been pointed out by

astronomers as they observe the stars. Therefore, the g-field of the flying saucer is variable and strong enough to affect the frequency of the light-waves, which explains both gravity control and color change of the object." All in all, Oberth's artificial g-field concept seems to cover all the mysterious phenomena of UFO flight. All that need be granted is that such a g-field can be produced - a thought at which most orthodox scientists today would

snort, no doubt. But not if they stopped projecting earth's halting technology to the grand technology mastered by the UFOnauts.

Perhaps some "Einstein" tomorrow - or a century from now - will stumble on the basic equation, as simple as E = MC- for atomic energy, for the creation of the laboratory g-field.

Incidentally, it is significant that Einstein himself kept seeking the "unified field" equation, which would link up all known forces and energies into one neat bundle - including gravitation and electromagnetism. Such an equation would point the way to conversion of gravity into electromagnetism, just as matter is converted into energy in the atomic bomb.

This leads us directly into the final UFO propulsion theory and the one that seems closest to the mark.

Electromagnetic Force Field

There is one other thing besides a g-field that can counteract earth's gravity field around a UFO - another kind of force-field, just so it is stronger than gravity. And such a force-field already exists, even if in weak form, around every natural magnet or electromagnet on earth. Creating a magnetic force-field that is powerful enough to negate gravity should be simply a matter of increased power input.

In 1953 Lieutenant Jules Plantier. an engineer of the French Air Force, began working out a theory of

electromagnetic propulsion for space vehicles without, at the time, thinking of UFO's. It was only after he had developed his concept and worked out the engineering formulas that he suddenly realized they all applied perfectly to flying saucers. In fact, miraculously so.

As explained by Aime Michel in his book, The Truth About Flying Saucers, Plantier used the following premises:

That distributed throughout space in all the macro-cosmos is a form of high-powered energy, one of whose manifestations is to create the well-known cosmic rays of immense power.

That this great and all-pervading energy, available between the stars, can be liberated or converted into a motive force for spacecraft - or UFO's.

That liberating this cosmic energy, which streams right down to earth's surface, creates a local electromagnetic field that can be varied and applied at will, accounting for all the flight phenomena associated with UFO's.

Like Oberth's gravitic theory, the EM-field in a UFO cancels out earth's gravity, drags the surrounding air with it, and exhibits color changes that are the side effects of the clash between gravitation and the EM force-field. But Plantier's theory is more precise in that it can show mathematically just why rapid acceleration should produce red light, or high-speed turns green light, or hovering a white glow.

He is also able to account superbly for the famed "falling leaf descent of UFO's. Instead of turning their power up or down, the UFO pilots simply tilt their EM-field at an angle to earth's gravity field, which lessens the repulsion force between the two fields. This lets gravity pull them down a few yards at a time so there is no danger of dropping like a stone. Stepping power up and down might result in too fast a drop for the UFOnaut to pull out in time, especially when close to the ground.

Plantier's calculations can even explain why the giant cigar-shaped mother ships hang at an angle, why a corona or halo effect sometimes surrounds the saucer, and why some UFO's have rotating and whirling rims or domes. He also worked out the reason why UFO's have dogfights. They are really maneuvers to allow one saucer to "reorient" its EM-field, which is "askew," or sometimes to allow for "refueling" operations in which invisible power is transferred between two saucers, accompanied by an "explosion" and pyrotechnic effects, which are often reported in sightings.

But most telling of all is that Plantier's EM power plant for UFO's explains all the EM effects reported by observers - car motors stalled, radios blacking out, and the burning "rays" or "paralysis" some people have felt in the proximity of a saucer (see next chapter).
