II. MANTENIMIENTO DE LA SALUD EN LA NIÑEZ

3. CONSEJERIA SOBRE ESTILOS DE VIDA

3.2 Desarrollo Psicomotor

Se incluye el formato para la valoración y el seguimiento del crecimiento y desarrollo psicomotor, que se diseñó teniendo en cuenta el percentil 90 en las cuatro áreas contempladas en la escala de Denver lo cual permite el descubrimiento temprano de trastornos del desarrollo y así realizar un oportuno manejo (Ver guía de Retardo Pondoestatural).

Otros aspectos que se deben tener en cuenta como recorda- torio educativo para el profesional en cada consulta tie- nen que ver con información nutricional, estimulación ade- cuada, higiene, seguridad en el hogar, control de esfínteres, relaciones con los hermanos, relaciones con las personas a cargo de los niños, métodos correctivos de las conductas inapropiadas y refuerzo de las conductas apropiadas. Es- tos temas pueden desarrollarse a nivel individual en la consulta o a nivel familiar y grupal mediante talleres en donde participen los padres, los niños y el equipo de salud.
