Employee responsibility
1) Follow the policy and applicable laws and regulation to protect your own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public and the environment.
2) Present ideas that support the goals of policy.
3) Promptly report concerns about possible violation of this policy to the persons listed or to your manager.
Additional responsibility of leaders:
MD will make sure this policy is part of an overall policy compliance program as describe. MD is: 1) Consult with adequacy of their health, safety and environmental programs.
2) Implement monitoring and auditing system at the plant and business levels designed to detect violations & assure compliance with law and this policy.

3) Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of managers & other senior employees on their implementation of this policy and environmental, health & safety programs.
Managers responsible for a facility, activity, product or service is:
1) Communicate responsibility with employees, communities, customers and government agencies regarding environmental health and safety issue.
2) Cooperate with the public, government and other interested parties to develop appropriate regulatory and public policies that protect employee and public health and the environment. 3) Implement effective programs, training and best practices for health, safety and environment
protection and for the elimination or reasonable reduction of toxic and hazardous materials. 4) Regularly assess plant operations & management. Establish measurements to ensure
compliance with this policy and applicable laws & regulations, when appropriate; review assessment results with environmental programs.
5) Ensure that an employee with EHS responsibilities is appropriately screened before appointment and that continued appropriateness for their position is periodically reviewed. 6) Develop appropriate program for safety reviews of new and redesigned products prior to sale
and distribution to customers. Monitor after-sale safety performance to identify and address significant product safety issues.
7) Work cooperatively with, contractors, business partners & suppliers to ensure that our relationships with them are supportive of this policy.

9) Emergency evacuation, communicable disease or other serious health indent which may have exposed employees to health hazardous.
10) Work related employee facilities & other serious safety incidents requiring a report to a governmental agency.

12) Legal proceedings alleging significant property damage or personal injury from environmental contamination or exposure to hazardous substances & other information requested by medical services or Environmental programs.

Occupational health needs attention both during construction, erection, operation and maintenance phases. However, the problem varies both in magnitude and variety in the above phases. To control any occupational health and safety impact a detailed planning for mitigation measures has been done in the design stage of the project. Apart from the occupational exposure mitigation plans for various activities and work areas of hazards, following existing administrative control measures will be extended to proposed SSP project and followed, which already are used with existing BRP Plant:
All employees will be trained for EHS policies and practices. Periodic health check-up for employees.
All employees will be trained for basic life support, first aid, basic of fire outbreak.
Safety and emergency preparedness.
Work permit system. Compliance to PPE use.
Safety display sign board throughout the plant.
7.25.1 Construction and Erection
The occupational health problems envisaged at this stage can mainly be due to constructional, accident and noise. To overcome these hazards, in addition to arrangements to reduce it within TLV's, personal protective equipment shall also be supplied to workers.
7.25.2 Operation and Maintenance
The problem of occupational health in the operation and maintenance phase is due to noise hearing losses. Suitable personnel protective equipment shall be given to employees. The working personnel shall be given the following appropriate personnel protective equipments.

Face shield with replacement acrylic vision.4.
Zero power plain goggles with cut type filters on be-Lh ends.5.

Full fledge first aid facility shall be made available round the clock for attending emergency in case of any accidents, if any. All working personnel shall be medically examined at least once in every year and at the end of his term of employment.7.25.3 Chemical Hazard
The main chemical use in the process is Sulphuric acid, which shall be kept in an isolated storage area on RCC platform in HDPE drums, and proper sign of danger shall be displayed there. Medical checkup shall be done regularly for the workers working in the plant.
7.25.4 Safety Plan
Safety of both men and materials during construction and operation phases is a prime concern. The preparedness of an industry for the occurrence of possible disasters is known as emergency plan. The disaster in proposed plant is possible due to leakage of fuels, collapse of structures and fire/explosion etc. Keeping in view the safety requirement during construction, operation and maintenance phases, and the plant shall formulate safety policy with the following regulations:

To allocate sufficient resources to maintain safe arid healthy conditions in working environment.2.
To take steps to ensure that all known safety factors are taken into account in the design,construction, operation and maintenance of plants, machine all equipment.
3.
To ensure that adequate safety instructions are given to all employees.4.
To provide wherever necessary protective equipment, safety appliances and clothing and to ensure their proper use.5.

To keep all operations and methods of work under regular review for making necessary changesfrom the point of view of safety in the light of experience and up to date knowledge.

To provide appropriate facilities for first aid and prompt treatment of injuries and illness at work.8.
To provide appropriate instruction, training, retraining and supervision to employees in health andsafety, first aid and to ensure that adequate publicity is given to these matters.
