3 Dificultades encontradas y Valoración del curso
Defines the logical structure of the schematic, that is, the assignment of a plot frame to a page determines the header, page size, and the division into rows and columns.
There are additional special texts available, the row and column texts.

Defining Form Properties
Form type:
Select the desired form type from the drop-down list (such as "Terminal connection diagram", "Table of contents", "Order list", etc.). This property defines the type of form. Each form type is assigned a particular ID. This is used internally to generate the list of properties available (placeholder texts) that can be used during the editing of the form. Thus each form has a specific list of available fields. The form type ID is also used to generate the list of forms which are available in the "Reports" dialog for the generation of a particular document. For instance, if you want to generate a device tag list, only the forms present which are designated as device tag list forms are offered for selection.
Property name / Value list:
The available properties are displayed depending on the selected category. Some of them, for example "Company code" and "Modification date" have already been assigned values that can't be changed. Others, for example "Description" and
"Version", can be assigned values or their existing values can be changed.
The following properties are particularly important:
Name (form, plot frame): "Data" category, file name, write-protected Description (form, plot frame): "Data" category, string (multi-lingual) Plot frame to edit form: "Settings" category, string
Form handling: "Settings" category, drop-down list; specifies the form as a static or dynamic form.
Regenerate main sub-header: "Settings" category, special dialog
Number of columns / rows: "Settings" category, integer; maximum number of columns / rows generated on a page
EPLAN ELECTRIC P8 Basic Training
Form structure: "Settings" category, drop-down list; order in which rows and columns are filled in. The process always starts in the upper left. "By row"
means that first all cells of a row are filled in before switching to the next row.
In this case, bridges are displayed vertically. "By column" means that first all cells of a column are filled in before switching to the next column. In this case, bridges are displayed horizontally.
Dynamic row adjustment: "Settings" category, check box. If indirect properties are indexed with 0, then the values for all (meaningful) indices are printed together. This is generally done using one-row lists separated by semicolons.
In forms, however, you have the option of printing these values as independent elements (rows / columns).
Example: Indirect goal.Name(0) gives M1;M2;X1:2. If dynamic row
adjustment is activated, then these four target names are printed one under the other.
Jumpers: Height of first level: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm"); height of a jumper in the first level in the terminal diagram. The distance to the next jumper is defined by the property "Jumpers: Spacing".
Jumpers: Distance: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm"); distance between two jumpers in neighboring levels. (The height of the first jumper is defined by the property "Jumpers: Height of first level".)
Jumpers: Radius of connecting points: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm");
since the nodes of jumpers are graphically shown in the terminal diagram with a small filled circle, you specify the radius of this circle with this property (in software coordinates). (Start and end "legs" don't have dots.)
Jumpers: Radius for nodes: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm"); if jumpers are shown graphically in the terminal diagram, then a small filled circle is set on the base line on each "leg" of the jumper. The radius of this circle is specified with this property (in software coordinates).
Jumpers: Height of external wire jumper: "Settings" category, decimal (in
"mm"); height of an internal / external jumper in the first level in the terminal diagram. If the matching property is not set, this is used instead of "Jumpers:
height of first level".
Jumpers: Height of internal / external wire jumper: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm"); distance between two internal / external wire jumpers in neighboring levels. If the property is not set, "Jumpers: distance" is used.
Format for automatic page description: "Settings" category, special dialog;
format for the page description automatically assigned when generating report lists.
Assignment 'Index to graphic': "Settings" category, special dialog;
configuration property which assigns each graphic an index value; the
selection of graphics is this done in the "Fixed graphic" placeholder by giving the index value.
Assignment: Function definition to graphic: "Settings" category, special dialog;
assignment of a terminal type number to a symbol variant. Used when generating a page in order to create a fixed symbol graphic.
EPLAN ELECTRIC P8 Basic Training
Connection diagram: Suppress jumper targets: "Settings" category, integer;
determines what type of jumper targets is not to be displayed in connection point diagrams:
0 = Show all jumper targets
1 = Hide saddle jumper targets, show wire jumper targets 2 = Suppress saddle and wire jumper targets.
Connection diagram: Number of graphical levels (internal / external):
Category "Settings", Integer
Connection diagram: New row in the case of graphical overlapping: "Settings"
category, check box; if this property is set, then in case of overlapping of graphical views in connection diagrams, a new row is started or an empty row inserted. An overlap occurs when one of the relevant graphics layers does not contain the same device as the next record on the same level. More compact views can be implemented in connection diagrams in this way. The properties
"Connection diagram: Number of graphical levels (internal) / (external)" must be set correctly.
Structure identifier overview: "Settings" category, drop-down list for selection of structure identifiers to be displayed in the form.
Combine multi-level terminals: "Settings" category, check box; useful for terminal line-up diagrams.
Assignment of property / value to graphic: "Settings" category, special dialog;
assignment of a property and / or value to a symbol variant.
Jumper display: "Settings "category, drop-down list (line, angle) Jumpers: Line thickness: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm") Jumpers: Number of levels: Category "Settings", Integer
Number of cables...: Category "Settings", integer
Cable distance...: "Settings" category, decimal (in "mm") Horizontal symbol distance: "Settings" category, decimal
Number of adjacent symbols: "Settings" category, integer "1-X"
Grid: "Settings " category, string (default: 4 mm) Modification date (manual): "Revision" category, date Version: "Revision" category, string
Company code: "Data" category, string, write-protected

Dynamic Forms
Form in which the graphics can be changed (e.g., the number of lines: only those are displayed which have data filled in, no empty ones), that is, the graphics are adapted to the actual number of lines. In this kind of form, header, data, and footers can also be determined within one page.
