Overview

8. Billposting by mobility target group

Day in, day out, Swiss consumers are on the move out of home in a variety of mobility flows. There are classic patterns within this mobility behavior that can be clustered in five main mobility target groups. We offer customizable high-reach, high-affinity billposting products that are tailored to these groups:

City Shoppers

On the go outside the rush hour with purchase intentions in and around rail- way stations, they are predominant users of public transportation for leisure activities and household shopping. They frequently read magazines and are receptive to advertising. Life- style- and trend-oriented, brand- and fashion- conscious, City Shoppers enjoy trying new prod- ucts.

Leisure Timer

Persons in all age brackets who move in a pleasure-focused, relaxed environ- ment. They prefer lively, entertainment- and consumption-oriented leisure activities and are generally in a relaxed, laid-back mood.

Professionals

Between 20 and 59 years old, with families. They are very well educated and have above-average incomes. Daily users of public transportation, obtain informa- tion from newspapers and magazines. They use other media such as TV and radio only occasion- ally. Leisure activities are diversified, going to the movies is a favorite pastime.

Young Urbans

This target group is a young segment of consumers who still live in the homes of their parents. Still in the edu- cation phase of their lives, they are consump- tion-oriented despite low incomes. Young Urbans use mainly public transportation and are avid movie-goers. They have a high affinity with digital media, especially smartphones, and rarely watch TV. Various free tabloids are their sources of mostly superficial information.

Night Owls

The consumption-oriented revelers are on the move mainly at night from Thursday to Saturday and live in cities or conurbations. On weekends, they travel pre- dominantly with public transportation and avoid the rush hour. Night Owls seek excitement, want to have a good time, and like to try out new products. Their leisure activities are highly diversi- fied, and the fun factor is the key priority.
