Harmfully, not constructive life giving, destructive emotions and feelings are at the beginning (of our Christian live) very certainly still a part of our nature, and we can not talk them out, nor can we speak them away or do as if they are not there. Very often we take this one Bible scripture – which I will quote in a minute - that says that everything is been made new. But this means that a new fundament has been laid and that a completely new start has come.
2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore from now on we know no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, from now on we know him not any more after the flesh. 17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things perish and are passing away; behold all things have recently made of a new kind.
While we are going through all the teachings you will see and recognize that this is more than true. Some things are been made new, but not or soul! This is a process of saving. What should we do than with all these fears, with my anger, my envy, my hate and bitterness? Do we kill and bring to silence all our feelings and emotions on such a way that these emotions seem not to be there? How comes it that we think that God is a God without great emotions? For a Christian who lives without passion, zeal and fire presents such an image from God to the world. And it is very obvious that we think like that, for to us - generally - are those most spiritual, who CONTROL SELF their emotions, by denying them, by burying them and oppressing them, keeping them down and reducing them.
What your soul has so carefully buried and hidden in the deepest parts of your inner men has to be brought to the service. You, yourself has to recognize what it is, where upon you have to give your yes. Without your yes, your authorization and your permission, God can not and will not start to make your soul whole. He can show you what the problem is, and where you have hidden and buried it, but it is unto you yourself to say: “Okay, God come into . . . ; and than you describe where you have found were the foxes are.
It is for God necessary that He hears you’re “YES” and that He gets the PERMISSION and the authorization from you to do HIS WORK. Something further on the road I will go much deeper into this Kingdom principle so that you can perfectly recognize and understand why this is necessary so that thereby you know how perfectly to corporate with Gods perfect will for your live.
Most of the time we burry and hide our fears into the deepest parts of our inner men; And that especially with deep emotional pains, and wounds of the soul. Most of the time we do not understand that all these negative emotions have their origin in fears which produce hurt and pain and that there is only one way to get rid of these pains and to be healed of it. The first thing is that we have to encounter the pains and the hurts anew; with other words, we have to face the negative destructive emotions to let God come into these fears which produce these pain and hurts.
The only way is that we have to face again together with our God the pain and the hurts; we have to go through it again. We have to see and face it into the eyes and by personally speaking and communicating with God about these fears and pains, handing it over to Him; we can be healed of all these destroying emotions. And for a lot of other reasons there is no other way! Father God is already waiting impatiently that we ask Him, allow him and authorize Him, to come into our soul to heal us from the tormenting fears and pains from the past and the now.
We must however recognize those different types of fears, pains and hurts, which have made our soul sick and who are the cause of our false passions and wrong zeal’s. That can be martial arts, the television, the computer or your work, your own woman or husband, your children or your car; yes even your mind and intellect can be a slave of wrong passionate thinking (dead works) whereby you are using it full of zeal and passion to bring forth death into your live; And so many other kind and forms of passions: Demonic altars and idols which we adore and protect. And if you believe it or not, but it are demonic temples and altars who are been protected. Woe o woe, when we lay hand on these wrong passions and zeal’s. Think at what happened with Gideon and Elijah and Paul!
So what are you gone do now? Are you opening up your heart now and let Him come into your soul? Do you start to talk with God about it and give him the right to let him touch everything?
When your answer upon these questions are yes; than Jesus, the Father and the Holy Sprit can come and start to begin to touch and lay a hand on al these things which you hand Him over into His hands to be touched and to be made whole again. This is not always simple and it goes not without pain. We must however go through it if we want to have a healthy and after the Son like image soul.
But have no fear and be of good courage to go into this battle, for the Spirit of God has been sent from the throne of God to assist you into this fight, to empower you and to strengthen you so that you can go through it. And I know were I am speaking about: You do not need to hunt the foxes alone!
Why does God not heal our soul just like that? Why is He not healing our sick soul just like that?
One word of God is enough, or is it not? The first answer why He is not doing this just like that: is because God is not a burglar, or a housebreaker. He does not break into your soul; no, He nocks at the door of your heart and you yourself have to open up the door.
Just like in the Song of Solomon, she had locked the door; and He that loved her soul so dearly could not come in without that she opened up the door. He calls, and calls and calls. But she keeps on sleeping, restlessly from within and a little bit moved, but she does not wake up, so that she could open up the door for him. It is not possible for Him to come in because she has locked and secured the door from the inside. Doubt, fear and unbelief secures and locks always the door of your heart to Him who loves your soul so very dearly. And then he is doing a last attempt and tries to unlock the door from within, through the whole of the door. But it is not possible for him and His efforts are without success. And then he goes and he hides himself. You yourself must decide if you let Jesus come within and if he may touch these fears pains and hurts to make your soul whole. And He will say time on time again: Here I am, and then it is completely unto you to say
find the strength and the power to open up the door. Well be comforted, because for God there are no limitations or doors that could stop him from coming in.
John 20:19 Then it being evening on that day, the first of the Sabbaths, and the doors having been locked where the disciples were assembled, because of fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said to them, Peace to you. 20:26 and after eight days, His disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. The door having been locked, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said, Peace to you.
We are now at the end of chapter one and we come back to passion. We can state now without any doubt that ALL can be passionate with fire and zeal. God has given it within us to be able to love God with passion, fire and zeal. Satan or enemy and opponent how ever; Takes and works with your passions and zeal’s and directs and manipulates you into the wrong direction that you use your passions and zeal’s destructively.
The end of it is that you destroy yourself passionately and even kill and destroy others with passion, fire and zeal. And this is possible because passion, fire and zeal is a power and a fire which attaches itself unto everything what is in our soul and body; and it will finely always do this; the wrong passions as well as the passions which come from Gods heart - which He has wrought into us - attaches itself to the emotions and feelings which we have in our soul. Both will ultimately make that we become one and attached to the one or to the other; the God willed and directed passions or these of our selves and of Satan.
As an illustration, I have tried to make a list from a lot of things were passion and zeal can be attached to – live giving or destructive. And do not forget that passion means and denotes:
Surrender, fire, passion of the heart, zeal, excitement and enthusiasm. There is zeal and a passion of the heart involved with deep emotional feelings who express itself through performing the things we do or say.
Passion of the heart and emotions – live giving and destructive: Love, hate, mercy or grace, revenge, compassion, pride, lamenting, weeping, joy, faithfulness, envy, rage, willing, peace, pain, fear, bitterness etc. Passionate things we do: Loving, hating, helping, fighting, quarreling, augmenting, killing, cooking, eating, educating, learning, embracing, dieing, making music, working, praying, believing, suffering, watching television, reading books, having affairs - whoring, masturbation – physically and spiritually, discussing, fondle, beating, dancing, shouting, applauding or clapping in the hands, running, jumping, singing, writing, willing, etc.
Surely this list is not complete, but I wrote them down so that we could think it over what we all do so passionately, be it positive or negative, be it live giving or producing death. The way which leads us to love God passionately always finds its way and expression through our body soul and spirit. From all these things which we do passionately, there is one thing which attaches itself always to passion and zeal; and that is our WILL! The stronger I will the stronger the passion of my heart and soul will express itself and this can be positive or negative. Of everything within my soul is the will the most important thing. It is the only thing within my soul which has a direct influence upon my spirit. Because our will is so enormously important and determent for all our decisions which we make, let it be negative or positive, life giving or producing death; therefore we will go deeper into this in the next chapter!
