562 Princess Street Harbour Light is an eight bed facility that provides emergency shelter to men, with priority going to individuals who are residents of Kingston and Frontenac County.
The shelter provides overnight
accommodations, shower and laundry facilities, dinner, and breakfast to
individuals who are in need of emergency shelter.

82 Ryandale Shelter for the Homeless

23 Elm Street Ryandale Shelter for the Homeless is an eleven bed emergency shelter for men, women, and children. It is the only facility in Kingston offering emergency shelter for all three of these demographics under one roof.
This shelter provides overnight
accommodations, a care package with a towel, toiletries and clothing if needed, hot meals, shower and laundry facilities, and a living room where individuals can socialize, read, or watch television.
Once an individual’s basic needs are met, they are then able to look into

83 Dawn House Women’s Shelter
Facilities and Services 302 Victoria Street Dawn House Women’s Shelter is an
emergency shelter for women and their children.
The shelter provides overnight
accommodations, a welcome package to new residents with toiletries and personal care items, meals and snacks, donated items and access to a computer for job and housing searches and other.
Staff is available 24 hours a day to assist with applications to ODSP and OW, counseling, housing searches, and referrals to community resources.
Once a woman has left Dawn House, they can continue to store important documents at the residence, or use it as a secure mail drop.

84 Kingston Interval House
Facilities and Services
P.O. Box 21042 Kingston Interval House is a twenty-five bed facility for women, either with or without children, who have experienced or who are at risk of violence or abuse.
The shelter is a large, home-like setting with all basic needs and services
provided for free.
Kingston Interval House also provides supportive counseling to women who have been abused and to their children who have witnessed abuse or have been abused themselves, safety planning tools, parental support and information, advocacy, and community referrals.
The location of the shelter is disclosed to women after they have spoken to a
worker at the shelter. If they are unable to get themselves to the shelter, they will be provided with a taxi chit for
transportation.

Women under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be admitted, and will be referred to a detox program.
Length of Stay
There is no maximum length of stay, however, three to four months is the average goal for a woman to be in safe, affordable housing.

234 Brock Street Kingston Youth Shelter is a fifteen bed, co-ed emergency shelter with shared living, dining, and cooking areas and gender-separated sleeping and washroom facilities.
Kingston Youth Shelter provides food, personal care items, laundry, phone access (including long distance calling), housing and employment information, and counseling services.

originally began as a temporary overflow shelter for other shelters in the area, but has been permanently open since July 2004.
In From The Cold provides individuals spending the night with a meal upon arrival and breakfast before leaving in the morning.
