Ph.d. in evolutionistic Biology at the univer-
sity of Pisa (2007) specializing on dinoflag-
ellates, in particular on their use as biologi-
cal monitors in hyperdiluted high-mountain
lakes and as a proxy (dinocysts) in paleolim-
nology. At present he is mainly dealing with
cultural mediation and environmental inter-
pretation (he is coordinator and supervisor of the activities at the Tovel lim-
