Futuros trabajos podrían considerar otras complejidades existentes en la programación de Flow Shop Híbrido, tales como los lotes de transferencia variables, la entrada dinámica y la maleabilidad. De igual manera se podría aplicar la metodología a otro tipo de industria con esta configuración, como la industria cerámica, de semiconductores etc. También sería de gran utilidad desarrollar otras técnicas de solución al problema que consideren los mismos parámetros, con el fin de verificar cual es la mejor de ellas para resolver el problema.
