5.4.1. INSPECCIÓN VISUAL ANTES DEL FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL MOTOR
Want to launch your career as a hairdresser? Whether you need to learn haircutting basics or gain specialist skills to move up the ladder, this qualification is for you. You can cover everything from shampooing and conditioning to styling and dressing.
This course is also available at our new LEE STAFFORD ACADEMY on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham.
What qualifications or experience do I need?
Selection will be made on the basis of an interview. You will also need to attend a course information session and complete a pre-course assignment.
How long is the course?
1 year full-time = 40 weeks.
What will I learn?
You will cover a range of subject areas that include; working in the hair industry, health and safety, client consultation, shampoo and conditioning, promoting products and services, dressing hair, creating an image based on a theme, colouring hair, perming, scalp massage, plaiting and twisting hair. You will also learn functional skills which are English and Maths as required.
How will I learn?
You will learn in a modern, well equipped environment and state -of-the-art treatment rooms, using industry standard equipment and high quality products. Access to the latest online learning materials will be available, delivered using Smartboards and plasma screen TVs. The course will be taught using a variety of approaches that include; practical work, directed learning on computers, independent study and tutorials.
How will I be assessed?
You will complete practical assessments, assignments and online tests.
What materials & equipment will I need?

Where could this course lead to?
Following completion of this course you can progress to: • Level 2 NVQ in Hairdressing

HAIRDRESSING NVQ DIPLOMA
Course Level 2
The Hairdressing NVQ is for anyone who is serious about a career in this exciting industry. The course will give you the necessary skills and experience to develop your career in a hairdressing salon.

Hair VRQ Diploma Level 2. Selection will be made on the basis of an interview and initial assessment. Personal qualities such as self-motivation, a genuine interest and commitment to study are essential.
