This is a replica of the Miroku Bosatsu Hanka Shiyui statue, a designated national treasure from the Nara era (6 - 8th centuries). Special methods of molding and coloration were used to imitate the texture of a carved wooden sculpture. Gradated coloring recreates the patina of old wood. The statue s beautiful smile and the soft curves of its fingertips really stand out. Measurements: 16 centimeters high x 7.8 centimeters wide x 10 centimeters deep. Weighs 405 grams. 20,520 yen (sales tax and shipping included). Prize for one person.

These are capsule toys that is capsules with small toys and figures inside. Since going on sale in 2012, more than eight million capsules have been sold of the highly sought after Cup no Fuchiko series (with seven figures to collect). Kunoichi Kokeshi Sake Drinking Vessel Set／くノ_の一_いちこけし酒_しゅ器_きセット

These sets of sake drinking vessels are decorated with ninja, maiko, and other designs. Each set contains one tokkuri bottle (that holds about 320 milliliters) and two sakazuki cups. Its unique selling point is that the head of the tokkuri – that can also be used as a sakazuki. Sold by Kanki Koubou of Gyokuyu Co., Ltd. Six models available. Price: 5,000 - 5,500 yen. “Behind the Scenes” is about sake. Nowadays, sake is also sold in paper bottles and small containers. It’s been sold in bottles since the old days, and this large bottle size is called isshou-bin (1.8 liters). Back in the day sake was sold in measures of a small wooden box called a “masu.” Ten masu makes up one isshou.
