ECTS credits are awarded for a module if the student achieves a passing grade in the final assessment. The ECST credits obtained by each student will be aggregated.
Qualification to set assessments
University lecturers and external experts who participate in teaching are qualified to set and grade assessments.
The course lecturers are responsible for the organisation, content, marking and grading of the assessments. The Programme Director supervises the assessment. In particular, he or she ensures that the assessments stipulated by the curriculum take place during the degree course.
The persons qualified to set assessments determine which written or technical aids are permitted during the assessments.
Registration
Registration for an examination is required. The administrative organisation of registration and deregistration is carried out by the local study coordinators.
Deregistration, withdrawal, non-appearance
Students may deregister from an examination by letter or email without giving any reasons up to 14 days before the examination is due to take place. The letter must be addressed to the lecturer of that particular course as well as the local study coordinators. Withdrawing less than 14 days before the examination date is only permitted in special circumstances, namely pregnancy, illness, accidental injury or military service of the student in question, or the death of a close family member, partner or friend. In all other cases the examination will count as failed and will be given the lowest grade insufficiente.

Otherwise the examination will count as failed and the lowest grade insufficiente will be awarded. A medical certificate is required in the case of illness or accidental injury.
