Ni: is new information to Westerners. but it is mcient knowledge to the Chinese. Some Kung Fu and
practitioners who are highly achieved do not need to lefend themselves by force. They just touch certain points of he body and one is paralyzed. In the nervous system of the body there are weaknesses. Ordinary people protect hemselves with muscles, but a good Kung Fu practitioner

whose energy is developed can easily locate the points of weakness. By lightly touching these points, he can make his enemy suffer. This can easily be illustrated through acupuncture; however, acupuncture is only used as a healing art.
Does one receive the communication of spirits through
intuition?
Master Ni: Intuition is the direct utilization of spiritual energy. Spirits communicate on a general rather than intui- tive level. You actually feel an itch or heat or cold or pain, it is not an intuition. This feeling is very accurate. Sometimes it is a light touch or kiss from another person. Other times it may be like an acupuncture needle or a bee sting or mosquito bite. ‘Wild” spirits may be a little rough in their communications because they are unfamiliar with the human social code of behavior.
Q: Can a lower spirit transcend? How do spirits develop?
Master Ni: Low spirits have usually lost their flexibility. A human being usually has more potential than the lower level of ghosts. Sometimes we say that there is no separation in the entire universe, but a separation can be made. For exam- ple, the distinction between spirits is strong, and a long process of evolution is necessary in order to go from being a low spirit to a high one. Positively speaking, all beings move upward and forward, thus one cannot say that low spirits have completely lost their chance. You could say, however, that they have not yet found their way. A human spirit is also in the process of evolving from a lower to a higher level.
Q: Does a high spirit ever descend to become a hwnan being?
Master Ni: Among all beings, higher and lower, a human being is an inter-medium or transportation point. A high spirit who takes human form probably has either a mission or a single wish.
When a low spirit takes human form, it has the great opportunity to continue its soul evolution. Evolving to this

level of profundity would take many lifetimes, each becoming more essential by condensing one’s spiritual being.
A human being who has self-awareness has no to lose in negative things. One should work diligently on one’s own cultivation. Does a spirit remain with someone throughout many
Master Ni: Yes, it could for some special reason. Generally it does not “remain,” but rather returns when the being takes a new life in order to help awaken the old soul.
On an energy level, people change every day. This law also applies to the spiritual world. Every minute of every day there is a new organization of human physical life, and one always has the chance to either stagnate or become revital- ized. Thus one always needs to be well prepared.
One’s good energy naturally invites high spirits, but when one is bad these spirits surely leave. Daily cultivation is important, therefore, not in the general religious sense of pleasing an external god, but in order to keep oneself high.
