2. How h as t his course in flu en ced yo u r vi ew o f pers ons wit h disabiliti es?

• None...we all are created by God perfectly

• It has, I feel that they need to be physical stimulated just like a

norm al stu dent

• It has helped me to understand that a disability could happen to

not q ui ck t o j ud ge an yo n e regard in g dis ab ilities. I b eli ev e I would be help ful an d en co u ragin g.

• It has helped me to view people with disabilities at the same as

ev er yo n e el se just no t ph ys i cal l y an d s om etim e m ent all y cap ab le of some t asks .

• Before this class I classified most individuals with disabilities into

the same cat egor y, b ut no w t h at I k no w more ab out each s p ecific disabilit y and h av e wo rk ed with stu d ents with di sabiliti es, I n ow und erstand th at each perso n v ari es j ust li k e n orm al p eop le do .

• I have a lot more compassion, yet understand how ABLE they are to

• I believe that it has opened my eyes to the fact that these people

reall y d o n eed th e ex ercis e and t hat th e y are indi vidu al s ju st l ike someon e with out a d isab ilit y. All th e y want is a l ittl e bi t o f att enti on an d lo v e.

• i see them more as people who simply need assistance with enjoying

• My views haven't really changed much. I think the course just

fu rth er grou nd ed m y views an d b eli efs.

• I used to kind of feel that they should just be put aside from the rest

3. How h as t his course in flu en ced yo u r Ch rist ian wo rldvi ew?

• None...God is in control of all things.

• I don't know that I ever viewed it as a mission opportunity.

• To love one another and treat others as you would like to be treated. • It has helped me to realize we as Christians have a job to do in this

wo rld, and th at is to hel p th os e who are l ess fort un at e th en us .

• I see that even individuals that have disabilities bring just as much

beli ev e th at God d esi gned p eo pl e li ke this an d t he y h av e j ust as much o f a pu rpos e h ere on earth t han I d o.

• I think having a better heart for those in need of adapted phys ed. • I believe this course has strengthened my worldview.

• More then anything it helped me learn how important it is to

und erstand th at ev eryo n e is created i n Gods i mage.

• Any classes where I learn to greater expand my horizon on teaching

kids wit h di sabilit es or non dis ab iliti es i mpacts m y life as a

ch risti an b ecaus e it s hows m e h ow mu ch more ch risti an t each ers are need ed in t he s cho ol s yst ems

• It really has opened my mind to show that everyone should be

accept ed to do an yth in g t he y are cap abl e of doin g. I thi nk t h at so man y tim es , so ci et y limits t he ri ght s o f i ndivi du als with a

disabilit y. I do n 't believ e t h at it is ri ght t o limit th ei r wa y o f accomplis hin g th in gs . M y Ch rist ian worl dvi ew on this asp ect is that we are to treat ever yo ne th e sam e. .. with t end er, lov e, and care.

• it's made me see others as equals

• I think it's just influenced me to show God's love equally to

ev er yo n e, wheth er th e y hav e a di sabilit y or not.

• That's deep. but to keep it short It has reminded me that we as

• It has not had much influence on my Christian worldview.

• It has taught me to love and care for everyone, no matter what they

are lik e.

• Has strengthened the idea that God does not make mistakes and that

thes e indi vid ual s are just as bl ess ed as m e, if not mo re. th e y are the most consi d erat e and h app y p eopl e i h av e m et as a grou p.

• The course influenced my Christian worldview as it helped me see

thes e indi vid ual s as creat ed i n God 's i mage an d t hus as equ al to m e in th e e yes o f o ur Heav enl y Fath er.

• No, not to a great extent.

• I think it gave me a greater awareness of the needs of others around

me. It also m ad e m e th ank ful for th e abil ities I h av e.

• I can look at those people with more compassion now that i

und erstand th em, an d not pit t y t hat th e y aren 't li k e m e b ut wi th a sen se o f admi ratio n t hat th e y do wh at th ey do d espi te th ei r

disabilit y. It 's easier to sh ow Ch rist 's l ov e no w to p eop le lik e t hat now th at I am m ore und erstandi n g.

4. Do yo u bel ieve stud en ts comi n g fro m a faith -b as ed un iv ersit y are an y mo re o r l es s p repared t o work with i ndivi du als with di sabiliti es t han stud ents fro m a n on -fai th based u niv ersit y? Ex plai n yo u r ans wer.

• No...I think as far as working with individuals with disabilities,

with dis abil iti es j ust as eas y. I t hin k th at the wa y in whi ch th e wo rk i s t ermed is wh ere th e li ne d raws between a Ch risti an an d non -Ch risti an . A no n-Ch rist ian can i n fact care fo r an ind ivid ual
