Change is inevitable and I excel at using change as an opportunity. When we do have changing conditions, I understand how to make the best of the situation and improve myself. I have also learned how to affect positive change to the work environment during these times. I will continue working hard in the area of continuous improvement.

Continuous improvement is not just a business catchphrase, but something that we should all be seeking. I believe this is an area of strength: identifying opportunities where I can improve and see great returns. I will continue to improve in my job and improve how I work with others.

I have made a number of breakthroughs in performance this year through continually improving my productivity. I am constantly evaluating and improving the way I work to continue making both incremental and breakthrough improvements. I will continue to work on this progress.

I highly value feedback received which allows me to constantly improve myself. I find implementing new ways of doing business both easy and effective. I am exciting about the potential improvements I will make this next year.

To survive in business one must evolve and I believe I am very good at identifying inefficiencies in my own work, the work of my team, and other coworkers, which if improved, increase productivity and make us better as a company. I will continue evolving and improving in my position.

I have made a number of small, incremental improvements to my work and to processes my department uses. These have result in increased productivity and efficiency. I will continue to work to find ways to improve how we do our jobs.

I don’t believe I have a great talent in continuous improvement, instead, it just comes naturally to me to identify potential improvements in my work processes. I receive input from my team on potential improvements and then we implement and test them. The best ones are retained and we restart the process. Overall, I think continuous improvement is a good area of focus for continued investment.

I am good at identifying and eliminating suboptimal processes in our work environment. I understand how to document a process, identify inefficiencies, and improve it. This is an area which I will continue to improve in this next year.

Part of continuous improvement is identifying process improvement ideas, another is identifying problems and breaking them down to their root cause. I am not very good at the former, but very good at the latter. I can see a problem, identify the symptoms and what is actually the root problem. I then identify a solution and implement it. I will work to improve in process improvement as well.

I have attended kaizen training and implemented much of it in my day to day work.

There are a number of parts of kaizen that I initially struggled with in my job, but since then have improved and see it working well. I have made a number of incremental improvements to how I work and will continue to do so this year.

XPECTATIONS

I struggle to identify new improvements in my work that I can actually improvement.

I do not feel empowered to make changes and find it difficult to implement new processes at work. I know this is an area of improvement for me and a focus this year.

I understand the focus on continuous improvement, but I believe we are positioned to be efficient as we currently are. This is at odds with the desires of management and one area which I understand I am at conflict with coworkers. I understand I need to change in this area.

One of my focuses has been on major, breakthrough changes to the detriment of allowing small changes to take hold. This has resulted in a year of missed opportunities. This next year, I will focus on making small changes that will make major changes – over time.

I do not feel like I have ownership of my work and do not feel the motivation to make changes to how I work. I understand this isn’t a popular opinion, but one which I hold. I would like to feel more ownership over what I do so the changes I make hold value.

I am at a loss for coming up with new ideas for continuous improvement. I don’t know how to creatively think up ways to improve and struggle with decision making when presented with different options to potentially improve. This is something I struggle in and would like more assistance finding ways to improve my work.

I find it very easy to adapt to changing circumstances. Our environment is always in flux and I try to handle the changes well and find ways to help others accept change.

My goal is to make a positive contribution to team morale and I believe I am successful at this.

Through my leadership, our work environment is positive and inclusive. I create an atmosphere of mutual teamwork and support. The team cooperates well with one another and makes sure the job gets accomplished.

One of my strengths is offering assistance to coworkers in need. By making sure everyone understands this is a team effort, we have been able to accomplish more together than any of us could individually. I will continue to contribute in this area over the next year.

My focus this year has been to be an encourager of my fellow team members. I try to always be willing to lend a hand in times of need and bring teams of people together around a common goal. This has led to a team-centered environment.

I believe I am an asset because I can effectively work with people to complete a project or successfully achieve a goal. I understand how to bring disparate groups of people together and promote cooperation.

I cooperate well with coworkers, staff, managers, and members of other teams. I find it easy to ensure that we are focused on team goals and help each employee both accomplish their individual goals, and also their team goals.

I give of myself to make sure the job is well done. I encourage others around me to work towards a common goal. I believe our team is a model for teamwork and cooperation.

I coordinate individual workers together to meet deadlines and work effectively as a team. This is an area which I believe I am very good at. I am always willing to lend a hand and find creative ways to ensure others will as well.

One of my strengths is finding ways to make a positive contribution to teamwork. I make sure projects are a team effort and am always willing to lend a hand when needed. This has created an inclusive and cooperative environment.

At all times I try to be an encourager and make sure everyone is able to effectively contribute to the team’s goals. I work to coordinate individual team members together to ensure we work well together and accomplish much together.

XPECTATIONS

At times, I have struggled collaborating with others. This has been an area I have been working on, but I have not always been successful with. I have been very good with individual tasks, but fall short in cooperating on group projects and in partnership with staff members. This will continue to be an area of focus for me.

I can learn and take on new tasks with ease, but find it difficult to train and communicate these tasks to team members. I have not been consistent enough with effectively involving others in learning new systems or processes.

Unfortunately, a perception has arose that I am unwilling or unable to offer help in times of need. I need to manage this perception and demonstrate a renewed effort to cooperate with team members and make sure the job gets done.

When I moved into this role, I came from one which was very individual-focused and demanded a great deal of focus. In this new job, I am expected to perform a much more team-focused effort and I have frankly struggled to make the transition. I will continue to work on focusing my efforts towards the team.

Some believe I am very territorial with my work, but I believe I am just better at accomplishing tasks alone. I do share crucial information and ideas with coworkers, but the actual tasks I prefer to work with alone. I understand the team nature of our work environment and will continue to make efforts to be more inclusive.
