June 11, 2020 Daily Health Checks:
1) Temperature checks will be conducted at drop-off and at any time during the day at the
discretion of Administration and/or child’s teaching team. Any child with a temperature of
100.4 or higherwithout fever-reducing medication will not be permitted to enter Trinity
Early Learning Center (“Center”). Fever-reducing medication such as aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol), or NSAID (Motrin) will invalidate temperature screening for COVID-19.
If a child presents a fever of 100.4 or higher at the Center or at home, the child must be seen by a physician to be evaluated and the physician must determine that child is safe to return to the Center. Parents must submit a note signed by the evaluating physician in order for the child to return to care.
2) Each day the person dropping off a child(ren) will be asked the following questions. A “yes” to any question will prevent a child and any siblings from being admitted to the Center. -Is your child currently ill?
-Is your child experiencing any of the following symptoms? -Fever
-Cough
-Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing -Red eyes
-Abdominal pain -Rash
Or is your child experiencing at least two of the following symptoms:
-Chills
-Repeated shaking with chills -Muscle pain
-Headache -Sore throat
If a Child Presents Symptoms:
If a child exhibits COVID-like symptoms while in the Center’s care, the child and any siblings will be quarantined from the other children and their parents will be called for immediate pick-up. The child will not be permitted to return to the Center until they have provided a doctor’s note indicating that they have tested negative for COVID-19. The Center will err on the side of caution and if a child presents symptoms that are questionable, the parents will be called to pick up the child. Prompt attention by parents when called is essential. If the Center is unable to reach parents, the emergency contact on the child’s registration form will be notified in the order in which they are
listed. Please note that it is the decision of the Administration, in consultation with a child’s
teaching team, as to whether a child should remain at the Center.
Procedure for Known Exposure to COVID-19:
If a child tests positive for COVID-19, has someone in their home who has tested positive for COVID- 19, or is exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, the Center must be notified immediately. The child cannot return to the Center for 14 calendar days from the date the Center was notified.
Administration of Medications:
For the foreseeable future, the Center will be unable to administer over the counter pain
medications that mask fever, such as Tylenol, Advil, or Motrin. Antibiotics and other prescription medications can continue to be administered with an accompanying doctor’s note as outlined in the TELC Parent Handbook.
Parent Agreement:
While the Center is following CDC and Bright from the Start guidelines and requirements for childcare centers, there are still many unknowns with regard to COVID-19, the risk of person to person transmission, and inherent risks of infection, including death. Your signature below acknowledges that you understand this risk and will not hold the Center liable.
As more information on COVID-19 is available, the Center Administration will continue to monitor CDC and Bright from the Start recommendations and guidelines. Center protocols will be updated as necessary.
This Parent Understanding does not replace, but rather supplements, the TELC Parent Handbook. The Center encourages parents to re-familiarize themselves specifically with the health and safety practices as outlined in the handbook.

time you leave and re-enter the building (lunch breaks, etc…) a temperature check
will be administered. Any employee with a temperature of 100.4 or higher without fever-reducing medication will not be permitted to enter Trinity Early Learning Center
(“Center”). Fever-reducing medication such as aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol), or
NSAID (Motrin) will invalidate temperature screening for COVID-19.
2) Each day employees will be asked the following questions. A “yes” to any question
will prevent the employee access to the Center. -Are you currently feeling ill?
-Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms?
• fever • cough • shortness of breath • difficulty breathing • other respiratory symptoms
Or are you experiencing at least two of the following symptoms?
▪ Chills ▪ Repeated shaking with chills ▪ Muscle pain ▪ Headache ▪ Sore throat
▪ New Loss of taste or
smell
In the last 14 days, have you had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19? Employee Presenting Symptoms:
If an employee exhibits COVID-like symptoms while in the Center, the employee will be required to leave the Center. The employee will not be permitted to return to the Center
until they have provided a doctor’s note indicating that they have tested negative for
COVID-19. The Center will err on the side of caution and if an employee presents symptoms that are questionable, the employee may be required to leave the Center.

Professional Protection Equipment:
▪ Employees will be required to wear a face covering the duration of their work shift
and while inside the building.
▪ Scrub Jackets will be provided for employees to wear while working.
▪ Gloves are available for appropriate tasks through out the day.
Health & Safety Protocol
Employees will continue to follow sanitizing and disinfectant procedures currently in place to meet licensing guidelines set forth by Bright from the Start (BFTS).
Reminders of most common areas:
▪ Regular Opening procedures
o Fresh bleach bottle
o clean and sanitize tables and chairs
o sanitize frequently touched surfaces
▪ Bathrooms
o Clean and sanitize toilet in between each use
o Regular handwashing procedures for child/adult
▪ Mealtimes
o Handwashing procedures before & after mealtime
o Clean & Sanitize tables before & after mealtime
▪ Playground Equipment
o Safety check prior to class entering space
o Clean & sanitize equipment before and after it used each classroom
▪ Closing procedures
o Empty bleach bottle
o Clean and sanitize tables and chairs
o Sanitize frequently touched surfaces
o Sanitize toys and equipment
▪ Throughout the day
o “yuck bucket” used for mouthed and/or dirty toys to be cleaned by hand by
person wearing gloves
o Sanitize frequently touched surfaces
o Handwashing during appropriate times
Classrooms
While group sizing can allow up to 20 children per group, the Center will continue to follow the ratio and group sizing set forth for TELC by BFTS.
▪ Classroom groups (Quaranteams) including employees will stay in their own
classroom.
▪ Classroom groups will not be allowed to inter-mingle.
▪ Common rooms, spaces, and areas (Play place, Multi-purpose room) will not be
available for use.
These guidelines will be in effect until restrictions are amended via BFTS.
Playgrounds
Playground areas will be used by one classroom at a time. Health and safety protocols will be followed as stated above. Amended schedules will be developed and shared prior to Center opening.
