SELECTION PROCESS

Test--> Technical Interview--> HR Interview--> HR Interview

ROUND 1: TEST

Experience

There was no negative marking but I am not sure whether wrong answers were counted for elimination (though I feel they were not). The level of test was moderate

ROUND 2: TECHNICAL INTERVIEW

Q1: Tell me something about yourself?

Q2: 2. What programming language are you good at?

Q3: . The interviewer worked with data structures (DS), so was not much interested in my previous answer and directly came to it asking- do you know data structures?

Q4: What DS have you known and which one you personally like? Q5: What do you know about hashing, hash table, hashing key? Q6: He gave a question which made use of linked list and hash table Q7: Do you have any questions for me?

Experience

There were 3 different panels (nos. might change). Allocation was done the basis of your performance in the test. I was ranked 3rd so I got a panel where I was first to enter. This gives you a lot of advantage if you absorb it effectively. The interview lasted for more than 1 hr 15 min. .

ROUND 3: HR INTERVIEW

Experience

The interview was about my interest, family background, likes, dislikes, higher education. He had all my answers written on back side of my resume.

Tips

Be firm and honest. Don’t try to match your answers with theirs. If you have higher education in plan have an alternative answer. Know you strengths. Know you weaknesses and what are you doing to overcome them. Know where you would see yourself 5 years down the line.

Q1: How was your day and your previous interviews? Q2: What was asked in your previous interviews?

Q3: So I was again asked about data structures. But this time I was asked about queues and stacks. Q4: What do mean by stacks and queues?

Q5: Can you implement queues using stacks?

Q6: Can you implement circular queues using stacks? Q7: Tell me something about heap sort.

Q8: Do you know any other sorting algorithm? 9. Do you have questions for me?

Experience

It was already 5 pm when I was called in for the interview and I was very exhausted. This was again a test of my programming skills. The atmosphere was not tensed at all as the interviewer was pretty relaxed and comforting
