15) Common occurred Issue & Troubleshooting
(1) Bill jams
Where Bill jams occur frequently
Inside the Cash cassette areas nearby the Vertical Transportation Path Gate solenoid Reject box entry - Inside the Cash cassette, areas nearby the Vertical Transportation Path, Gate solenoid, Reject box entry,
Upper Transport Path.
Make sure that the belt is not moved from its original position after clearing bills (Very import!!).
(2) Cassette not fully inserted
- CDU cassette not complete docked
(3) Not sensing cassette and/or type (3) Not sensing cassette and/or type
- Not sensing reject box - Sensor pollution
- Bad sensor

CODE Error Cause and Handling
Cause
Failed to open/close the CDU Shutter (failed to retry ten times)Step1. Check if any other objects can block Shutter movement and remove them perfectly Step2. Manipulate Shutter manually if it is smoothly working or not
Check if any springs are missing or any components are bent by external force Step3. Check if Shutter solenoid cable and ST-S1 sensor cable are firmly connected
40082
40084 Handling
It would be better to disconnect them and try to re-connect
Step4. Check if both ST-S1 and ST-S2 sensor are properly working by measuring sensor voltage with blocking/unblocking conditions (unblocking : less than1.0V, blocking : over 4.5V)
Step5. Measure the coil resistance of solenoid by multi-meter and check if it will display the stable region (15±3Ω) If it doesn’t meet replace with new Solenoid
(15±3Ω) If it doesn t meet, replace with new Solenoid.
Step6. Measure the supplied voltage from CDU controller and check if it will display the stable region (24±1.2V) If it doesn’t meet, check replace with new CDU controller board
Step7. Check if the solenoid adjustment is good (working distance = 9.0mm) Step8. Replace Presenter Module
Step8. Replace Presenter Module
Cause
Failed to operate Gate Sensor (CS3) before initialization or during transaction Step1. ~ Step3 : Perform do same procedures aboveStep4. Check if the grease is fully attached with spring hook
Step5 Check if CS3 sensor is properly working by measuring sensor voltage with blocking/unblocking

40056 Handling
Step5. Check if CS3 sensor is properly working by measuring sensor voltage with blocking/unblocking conditions (unblocking : less than2.0V, blocking : over 9.5V) If it doesn’t meet, replace with new one Step6. Measure the coil resistance of solenoid by multi-meter and check if it will display the stable region
(40±4Ω) If it doesn’t meet, replace with new Solenoid.
Step7. Measure the supplied voltage from CDU controller and check if it will display the stable regionp pp g p y g (24±1.2V) If it doesn’t meet, check replace with new CDU controller board
Step8. Check if the solenoid adjustment is good (working distance = 3.0mm)

CODE Error Cause and Handling
Cause
CS1 sensor is blocking during initialization or transaction400BA
400BB Handling
Step1. Check if reject box is full with bills and clear them
Step2. Check if any other objects can block the sensor path and remove them perfectly Step3. Check if any dusts are accumulating on CS1 prism and clear them perfectly

Step4. Check if CS1 sensor bracket is inappropriately assembled with being bent Step5. Execute “Do Auto” command in diagnostic program (TM)Step6. Replace CS1 sensor with new one
Cause
Bad bill picks or high rejected billsCause
Bad bill picks or high rejected billsStep1. Check the condition of bills inside the cash cassette (see if sticky bills exist) and reject box
(see if bad bills exist) In case of sticky bills, separate bills completely manually or using bill counting machine

Step2. Check whether denomination is correctly set by diagnostic program (TM)
Step3. Check the roller status in cash cassette get dirty, especially Gate Roller. Conduct the Roller Cleaning (Gate Roller, Pick-up Roller, Feed Roller) inside the cash cassette
Step4 Check if 7 segment value in CDU controller board will display the stable region (5 to 9 for US dollar)

Step4. Check if 7 segment value in CDU controller board will display the stable region (5 to 9 for US dollar) when a real US dollar is detected Double Detection Sensor. In case it doesn’t meet, replace
Double Detection Sensor Assembly
Step5. Replace only the rubber of Pick-up Roller with new one
Step6. Find out the cause of the reject, using the diagnostic program (TM) and inform NH the result Step7. Replace the entire cash cassette
