You have the right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund of charges paid, less a non-refundable registration fee not to exceed $250 and non-refundable equipment fees or equipment not returned within thirty [30] days following your notice through attendance at the first class session, or the seventh day after enrollment, whichever is later. The institution will retain only $100 of the registration fee for any student who does not commence class. If you cancel your enrollment agreement, the school will remit a refund within 45 days following the school’s receipt of your withdrawal, less a non-refundable registration fee not to exceed $250 and less any non-refundable equipment fees or equipment not returned within thirty [30] days following your notice. Students whose entire tuition and fees are paid by a third-party organization are not directly entitled to a refund for the tuition and fees.

RETENTION/REFUND
POLICY
This section explains how tuition, fees, and other charges are earned by the institution. The amount earned by the institution as described in this section – and the student’s responsibility for payment to the institution of the amount earned – is applicable to all students.
♦ Students who have attended classes and cancel their Enrollment Agreement within the initial cancellation privilege will be liable for the registration fee of $250 plus the cost to the school of unreturned books, supplies, and equipment.
♦ The institution will retain only $100 of the $250 registration fee for any student who does not commence class.
♦ For students withdrawing after the initial cancellation privilege has expired, refund/earnings will be calculated in accordance with the following:
For the purpose of determining the amount of the refund, the date of the student’s withdrawal shall be deemed the last date of recorded attendance. The pro-rated refund shall be the total tuition amount for the course (total institutional charge for current period of attendance, minus registration fee of $250, minus STRF, minus any other non-refundable fees) divided by the total number of course hours, multiplied by the number of hours attended. To determine whether tuition is owed to ACI or whether ACI owes the student a refund add the tuition amount due for the hours attended plus any non-refundable fees less the amount of any student payments made. If the student has completed more than 60% of the period of attendance for which the student was charged, the tuition is considered earned and the student will receive no refund. Refunds, when due, are made within 45 days (1) of the last day of attendance if written notification has been provided to the institution by the student; or (2) from the date the institution terminates the student or determines withdrawal by the student.
If a student obtains a loan to pay for an educational program, he/she will have the responsibility to repay the full amount of the loan plus interest, less the amount of any refund. If a student has received federal student financial aid funds, he/she is entitled to a refund of the moneys not paid from federal student financial aid program funds. If the amount of your refund exceeds the unpaid balance of the student loan(s) you received, the excess will first be applied to any other aid programs from which you received funding and any remaining balance will then be returned to you. Students whose entire tuition and fees are paid by a third-party organization are not directly entitled to a refund for the tuition and fees.
