Truss Technician Training Levels 1, 2, 3 (bundled)

STBCA001 TTT Level I is an introduction for wood truss design technicians, estimators, and salespeople to acquire the design and engineering fundamentals of metal plate connected trusses. Students will be expected to perform calculations, solve problems, review presentations, and respond to interactive quiz questions interspersed throughout the sections. Level II covers advanced concepts for math and load development for live, dead, snow, rain and wind loads. Students review truss industry referenced standards like ANSI/TPI 1, ASCE‐7 Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures, and the National Design Specification (NDS) for Wood Construction. Students perform calculations, solve problems, review presentations, and respond to interactive quiz questions interspersed throughout the sections. TTT Level III provides discussion and background of current technical issues. Each presentation is developed by a different industry professional and examines specific technical design

considerations. Participants will elevate their understanding of this highly specialized industry and receive answers to unresolved technical questions. Topics cover fundamental/theoretical design considerations and then how to apply these in the real world, the business risk associated with designing trusses, serviceability issues, understanding and applying the building code to expand your business, and finally some industry issues we face and how to best tackle these in the marketplace.

You become TTT Certified by taking the TTT Certification Exam and scoring at least a 65% grade. There is a TTT Certification Exam for each of the three levels of TTT training. To be eligible for the TTT Level 1 Exam requires completion of a Level 1 Class. To be eligible for the TTT Level 2 exam requires completion of a Level 2 class and Level 1 certification. To be eligible for the TTT Level 3 exam requires completion of a Level 3 class and Level 1 and 2 certification.
