If the Presence of God is individualized for each of us, then what makes one soul different from another? How you color, or qualify, the interpenetrating spheres of light surrounding your I AM Presence determines what’s unique about you. Together, these spheres make up the Causal Body, also known as the Body of First Cause, which exists in higher levels of Spirit.

The spheres of your Causal Body are the storehouse of everything that is real and permanent about your unique identity. They contain the records of the virtuous acts you have performed to the glory of God and the blessing of man through your many incarnations on earth. These good works are your treasure stored in heaven.[178] Whenever you judiciously exercise your free will in love, harmony and creative endeavor, these energies, multiplied by your service to life, ascend to one of the seven spheres of your Causal Body.

Each sphere of the Causal Body is a different color, representing one of the seven spiritual “rays.” Just as a ray of sunlight passing through a prism produces the seven colors of the rainbow, so spiritual light manifests as seven rays, or frequencies of light. Each ray has a specific color, quality and frequency that is associated with a different attribute or aspect of God’s consciousness. In addition to the seven primary rays, there are five “secret” rays, which are “hidden” within the center sphere of the Causal Body.

The progression of the spheres of the Causal Body, from the center sphere to the outermost sphere, corresponds to the progressive emanation of the sefirot that emanated from Ein Sof to form Adam Kadmon. (figs. 10, 11) The line, or ray of light, that connects the sefirot and runs right through the body of Primordial M an may be compared to the shaft of white light (“the crystal cord”) that connects the three figures in the Chart of Your Divine Self.

FIGURE 11. The sefirot correspond to the colored spheres of your Causal Body that surround your I AM Presence (the Presence of God that is individualized for each one of us). As you imitate the divine attributes of the sefirot, you increase the power of the corresponding sphere of your Causal Body and you compel the corresponding frequency of God’s light to descend into this world.

92

When you embrace the attributes of each of the sefirot, you are creating a cosmic connection between your world and the heaven world. When you make the qualities of each of the sefirot your own, you increase the power and dominion of the corresponding sphere of your Causal Body as day by day the energy you have used for good ascends to the Causal Body. At the same time, your imitation of the divine attributes compels the corresponding frequency of God’s light from the heaven world to descend through this world over the circuit of the sefirot.

For example, Keter (Crown) corresponds to the white sphere in the center of the Causal Body. The white sphere is the sphere of divine purity, discipline and joy.

Whenever you act with a pure heart and an unblemished motive, desiring only to glorify God, you are multiplying the power of your white sphere and you are stimulating the flow of Keter’s light into the world.

Hokhmah (Wisdom) and Binah (Understanding) correspond to the yellow sphere of divine wisdom, understanding and enlightenment. Whenever you bring spiritual understanding and illumination to anyone, you are multiplying the power of the yellow sphere of your Causal Body and increasing the flow of God’s wisdom and understanding (the light of Hokhmah and Binah) into the world. The same pattern of interaction is true for each of the following spheres and attributes.

H e s e d (Love/M ercy) and G ev ur ah (Justice/Judgment) correspond to the pink sphere of divine love, compassion, kindness and charity. Tiferet (Beauty/Compassion) corresponds to the violet sphere of divine mercy, justice, freedom and transmutation.

Netzah (Victory) and Hod (Splendor/M ajesty) correspond to the purple-and-gold sphere of divine service, ministration, peace and brotherhood.

Yesod (Foundation) corresponds to the green sphere of divine truth, science, healing, abundance, vision and music. Malkhut (Kingdom) corresponds to the blue sphere of divine faith, will, power, perfection, protection and judgment. The quasi sefirah, Da’at (Knowledge), corresponds to the spheres of the five secret rays that are within the center sphere.

No two Causal Bodies are exactly alike because their shimmering spheres reflect the unique spiritual attainment of the soul. One person may have a greater momentum on expressing the love of Hesed, having perfected that quality over many lifetimes. Therefore the pink sphere of his Causal Body may be larger than the pink sphere of someone who has not developed that quality. One who embodies the attributes of Hokhmah and Binah may excel as a teacher of wisdom, and thus the yellow sphere of his Causal Body will shine as a star of great magnitude.

What relevance does our Causal Body have to our daily spiritual path? First, I said that as you perform good deeds, and thereby increase the spheres of your Causal Body, you are compelling divine light to descend to this world. In the famous words of the Zohar, “The impulse from below calls forth that from above.”[179]

In addition, the particular attributes we have developed through hard work in our previous lives (reflected in the size of our Causal Body spheres) determine the gifts and talents we will be born with in our succeeding lives. These talents, sealed in our Causal Body, are made available to us today through our Higher Self (the middle figure in the Chart of Your Divine Self).

In my meditations, God has shown me that the progression of the Causal Body spheres is a logical unfoldment of the identity of our soul as God provides us with what we need to fulfill our assignment on earth. In the beginning (representing the white sphere), each of us is created out of a single white-fire ovoid with our twin flame, our “other half” with whom we share a unique blueprint. Together twin flames embody the masculine/feminine polarity of the Divine Whole.[180]

Next, we are clothed with the M ind of God (yellow sphere) and the love of God (pink sphere). Then God bestows upon us the gift of free will, which includes the freedom and ability to create (the violet sphere). Endowed with free will, we will be able to use our talents to serve others (purple-and-gold sphere).

The next step is setting the foundation of our physical form, the blueprint of Adam Kadmon (green sphere). And lastly, God gives us power, will and faith, qualities we need to evolve physically and spiritually in the physical dimension.

If we return to the vision of Ezekiel—the vision of the throne-chariot of God that the Merkabah mystics yearned to behold—what he saw sounds like nothing less than his own I AM Presence surrounded by the concentric spheres of his Causal Body. He saw the likeness of a man surrounded by “the appearance of fire” and a

“brightness round about” the fire that resembled a rainbow.

Ezekiel describes his vision as “the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD,”[181] and that is exactly what our Causal Body is. Each day, as we become closer and closer to God and reconnect with the ten sefirot, we are adding to that glory. And one day, when our soul has fully attained her goal of reunion with God, we will enter into the Causal Body and abide in the house of the LORD forever, nevermore to go out.
