• requi฀ring฀the฀instal฀la฀tion฀of฀equip฀ment฀in฀the฀vehi฀cle฀for dri฀ving;

• limi฀ting฀the฀time฀of฀day,฀per฀iod฀and฀area฀for฀dri฀ving;

• limi฀ting฀the฀types฀of฀vehi฀cles;

• requi฀ring฀the฀pre฀sen฀ce฀of฀ano฀ther฀licen฀ce฀hol฀der;

• allo฀wing฀the฀per฀son฀to฀drive฀only฀a฀vehi฀cle฀that฀is฀equip฀ped with฀an฀alco฀hol฀igni฀tion฀inter฀lock฀devi฀ce.

• the฀dri฀ver฀has฀not฀under฀go฀ne฀an฀exa฀mi฀na฀tion฀฀within฀the last฀ten฀years;

• the฀Société฀has฀rea฀so฀na฀ble฀฀grounds฀to฀veri฀fy฀the฀driver’s

฀health฀or฀dri฀ving฀beha฀viour฀on฀฀public฀roads.

Proficiency฀exams฀(kno฀wled฀ge฀or฀road฀test)฀may฀be฀requi฀red of฀a฀per฀son฀who฀wis฀hes฀to฀chan฀ge฀a฀licen฀ce฀class.฀A฀medi฀cal exa฀mi฀na฀tion฀ or฀ ฀health฀ assess฀ment฀ may฀ be฀ requi฀red฀ befo฀re฀ a condi฀tion฀on฀the฀licen฀ce฀can฀be฀chan฀ged.

The฀Société฀may฀also฀requi฀re฀a฀licen฀ce฀hol฀der฀to฀sub฀mit฀a per฀io฀dic฀ medi฀cal฀ or฀ opto฀me฀tric฀ ฀report฀ where฀ a฀ dis฀or฀der฀ or impair฀ment฀requi฀res฀a฀per฀io฀dic฀fol฀low-up.

The฀Société฀may฀sus฀pend฀the฀licen฀ce฀or฀licen฀ce฀class฀of฀any dri฀ver฀who:

• makes฀a฀false฀health฀declaration฀or฀fails฀to฀declare฀a health฀condition;

• refu฀ses฀ to฀ under฀go฀ a฀ medi฀cal฀ exa฀mi฀na฀tion฀ or฀ ฀health assess฀ment฀or฀fails฀to฀sub฀mit฀the฀rela฀ted฀฀report;

• refu฀ses฀to฀take฀or฀fails฀a฀pro฀fi฀cien฀cy฀test;

• is฀afflic฀ted฀with฀an฀ill฀ness฀or฀dis฀abi฀li฀ty฀that฀could฀jeo฀par฀di฀ze road฀way฀safe฀ty.

RES฀PON฀SI฀BI฀LI฀TIES฀OF฀A฀DRI฀VER

Anyone฀ope฀ra฀ting฀a฀motor฀vehi฀cle฀on฀a฀฀public฀roadway฀must carry฀a฀valid฀licen฀ce฀bea฀ring฀his/her฀signa฀ture.฀A฀dri฀ver฀must฀res฀pect the฀condi฀tions฀indi฀ca฀ted฀on฀his/her฀licen฀ce.฀A฀law฀enfor฀ce฀ment

A฀dri฀ver฀must฀also฀have฀all฀the฀docu฀ments฀rela฀ted฀to฀the฀vehi฀cle, that฀is:

The฀hol฀der฀of฀a฀licen฀ce฀that฀has฀been฀lost,฀sto฀len,฀des฀troyed, dama฀ged฀or฀on฀which฀infor฀ma฀tion฀has฀beco฀me฀inac฀cu฀ra฀te฀must

฀request฀a฀repla฀ce฀ment฀from฀the฀Société.฀The฀Société฀will฀repla฀ce the฀licen฀ce฀on฀pay฀ment฀of฀the฀requi฀red฀fee฀and฀pre฀sen฀ta฀tion฀of two฀pie฀ces฀of฀iden฀ti฀fi฀ca฀tion.

RENEWING A LICEN฀CE

Although฀a฀plas฀tic฀licen฀ce฀with฀a฀photo฀is฀inten฀ded฀to฀last฀4฀years, the฀hol฀der฀is฀requi฀red฀to฀pay฀a฀licen฀ce฀fee฀each฀year,฀even฀where he/she฀fails฀to฀recei฀ve฀noti฀ce.฀Insurance฀pre฀miums฀on฀the฀licen฀-ce฀are฀set฀accor฀ding฀to฀the฀num฀ber฀of฀deme฀rit฀฀points฀ente฀red฀on the฀ holder’s฀ dri฀ving฀ ฀record.฀ In฀ the฀ absen฀ce฀ of฀ pay฀ment,฀ the licen฀ce฀ hol฀der฀ is฀ not฀ allo฀wed฀ to฀ drive.฀ Driving฀ with฀ an฀ inva฀lid licen฀ce฀is฀an฀offen฀ce฀punis฀ha฀ble฀by฀a฀mini฀mum฀fine฀of฀$300฀and addi฀tio฀nal฀penal฀ties.

Once฀a฀licen฀ce฀has฀been฀inva฀lid฀for฀at฀least฀3฀years,฀the฀per฀son must฀pass฀a฀kno฀wled฀ge฀test฀and฀a฀road฀test฀to฀drive฀again.

HEALTH DECLA฀RA฀TION

A฀licen฀ce฀hol฀der฀must฀decla฀re฀any฀dis฀ea฀ses฀or฀dis฀or฀ders฀when the฀Société฀asks฀for฀infor฀ma฀tion฀on฀his/her฀฀health,฀and฀must฀fill out฀and฀sign฀the฀decla฀ra฀tion฀form฀when฀฀applying฀for฀a฀licen฀ce or฀upon฀its฀rene฀wal.฀Licence฀hol฀ders฀must฀also฀advi฀se฀the฀Société of฀any฀chan฀ge฀in฀their฀฀health.
