Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) is the central subsidy institute of the Federal Land of Berlin and primarily supports small and medium-sized enterprises as well as founders. IBB particularly focuses on the establishment and strengthening of technology-orientated companies in the region. It offers its customers monetary subsidy offers, comprehensive financial consultancy services as well as subsidy and loan processing that is based on commercial criteria.
Under just one roof, you will receive advice on subsidy programmes, assistance during the preparation of a feasible business plan, coaching, workshops and seminars as well as subsidy measures, including allowances, low-interest loans and investments. KfW Mittelstandsbank supports small and medium-sized enterprises not just with loans at favourable conditions, but also by offering sponsored, client-specific advice dur- ing all phases of the development of a business - foundation, growth, succession, crisis. In the Berlin advisory centre and at some other 50 locations all over Germany, experts from KfW Mittelstandsbank are there to offer you personal financing advice. Our consultancy promotion programme under the founder coaching scheme offers founders the possibility of hands-on, competent advice.
Subsidies for qualified and independent energy efficiency consulting in commercial business and for freelance professionals are available within the scope of the “energy efficiency consulting” offering.
Companies in difficulty are supported within the scope of enterprise rescue schemes at the “round table”.

LOK works on a local level and addresses all interested parties wishing to establish a new or secure an existing business. LOK specifically boasts a wealth of experience with previously unemployed founders, with advisory services for young people, people with a migration background, in the culture/creative sector and with older people (50+). LOK applies the quality standards developed within the scope of EQUAL.
The following services are offered before, during and after establishment: Initial information in all matters related to self-employment, creative workshops on idea development, customised advice for founders, practical start-up support in the incubator, seminars and workshops in addition to consultancy services (training in technical matters and networking), contact with relocating experts and access to mentors and local networks, support during start-up financing, analysis of the feasibil- ity of the start-up project and of existing enterprises, special offers for people with a migration background (bilingual seminars and multilingual consulting), coaching after establishment, company acquisition advice.
LOK is a listed partner of the “Start: opportunities for start-up preparations” programme and of the KFW founder coaching scheme.
