I have done research on the above subject for last 40 years and made a CD giving lot of information of how & why I did this research of ancient Jyotish Shastra.
I wish to give this CD to all the research minded students of Jyotish Shastra, to those who have attraction and curiosity of this subject and to admirers as well as the criticizers of this subject provided they have their own Computer. I realized that aim of Jyotish Shastra is to provide guidance in life, and regarding that aim there are no shortcomings in it, Astrology is a perfect science in this respect. Then first I investigated why the predictions go wrong, why does it happen so.
Basically in Astrology there is a huge bunch of various methods and thou-sands of scientific rules. I came to realize that considering the memory limitations of the human beings, it is improper and virtually impossible for anybody to handle Astrology depending only on human memory. Even after so many years of studies
& experience also I couldn’t memorize more than 40% of its rules and methods, then we can understand what will be the case of those studying for short time. In conclusion, the astrologers aren’t wrong. But due to memory limitations none of us can reach to that accuracy. This being the main reason, if Jyotish Shastra (Astrol-ogy) is being blamed, then it is a mistake.
To prove this point, I always give one example. Take 100 students of 5th or 6th Class, call each student separately in a room and ask each student, “12 x 8 equal to how many?” Then 99% students will give 96 as the answer. But take 10 students passed from our Astrology school along with their teacher, give them same horo-scope and ask one same question in the same way as above. What will be the outcome? All 10 will come up with ten different answers. Some one’s answer com-ing correct once in a while or answer of one astrologer among hundreds to be correct can never be sufficient evidence for the greatness of the Astrology.
Due to these limitations of human memory, some deficiencies inadvertently entered in the Astrology; and because of their ill effects, Astrology started loosing its credentials & effectiveness. Sensible, knowledgeable & wise astrologers have started keeping themselves away from the related seminars. Part of the deficiency is that many practitioners ignored lack of memory and insisted on telling definitive fruits. Leave apart inadequate study, but many have overconfidence and false ego of knowledge. There is misunderstanding in society that ‘future is known from Astrology’ and it is being taken ill advantage of. Some kept motto of ‘Shastra is small and I am great’, and to cover their inadequacy of study, started the practice of recommending & imposing various types of unscientific, unworthy & useless rem-edies, which were not at all in any way related to the Shastra, on the society. Ap-proach of some astrologers was such to make the Jatak forget his own capability and making him gullible by taking advantage of his vulnerability. The vulnerable needy people not only forget their inner strength & capacities to rationally deal with their problems but started getting carried away by these so called remedies told to be solution of their difficulties.
One way or the other, the basic reason of all these is the inadequacy of human memory and Nature can never change it. But due to this and many such experi-ments, this valuable Shastra is moving away from wise and educated. Thus these blunders of some persons are going to prove very harmful to all astrologers as a class. the sanity of the Astrological Science. This professional blunder & unpar-donable act there off will not only damage the worthiness of the Astrology but will get fade away from the qualified & the wise people in the society.
Even though we are lovers & fans of Astrology we started to dodge the challenges & allegations made against it and started retreating. We could not defend and back the Shastra with the required strength and scientific method.
Irony of the situation is that we, who tell others to do rituals and remedies and even perform rituals for others, do not use same remedies for ourselves, similarly astrologers don’t use astrology for themselves for future predictions and astrology started to be a Shastra just for advising others!! And all this is happening when there is no fault of Shastra in all this!! These days we astrologers come together not for proving use of this Shastra to society, but for praising each other and hearing our praise ourselves!
And all this only because we couldn’t establish the truth and usefulness of the Astrology with the adequate research & the scientific proof before society and wise people. That is why the allegations that ‘Astrology is a fraud on society, a fabri-cated theory’ are heard in the parliament & the worst is that, still we are tongue-tied on this issue. This guilt, that we who call ourselves protector of Jyotish Shastra, displayed our complete inability to protest on the subject and defend the Shastra convincingly, made me make this small effort of scientific research of Jyotish Shastra with tenacity.
Basically we considered science as enemy of Astrology and that itself has been a big mistake. Any Shastra with base of Philosophy doesn’t belong to a particular group but belongs to the entire society. If listeners gathered are only Marathi-speaking then we will be making a mistake if we speak in English. We can not ignore the fact that whole society all over world is gradually leaning towards sctence. We should learn to address the society in the language it understands. Any Shastra or subject which is our favorite, it may be Astrology or Adhyatma(Spiritualism), if we want to take to the society, then it has to be explained in the language which is understandable to society, in other words in the accepted scientific method. That is why we have taken support of science to prove that Jyotish Shastra is true & useful to society, to preserve its greatness and importance, to make it universally acceptable. From the beginning I had complete faith & trust in Astrology, therefore I was convinced of my success in proving its truth with my research.
We have used all the important rules & methods from ancient texts of Astrol-ogy, verified and determined their degree of effectiveness for present times and social situation, have taken the birth time horoscope in to the consideration, ar-ranged the Shastra in a different way, composed a computer program to give re-sults in a different form- form of Graph- which any body can understand. To our
pleasure we have successfully proved how Jyotish Shastra is true and scientific, that its decisions are accurate, it provides useful guidelines to individual and to society and this is proving continuously. I have written number of articles in magazines on this.
However it’s yet to get properly acknowledged. Even then many ignored this achievement and I have strong desire to know why it is so and the reasons for this.
For the purpose of finding this only I wish to send this CD to persons like you. On doing this, my research will proceed further on the way of perfection and the time of my life given for this Shastra will be put to good use.
Because all the lacunas in the Astrology are studied in detail & corrected carefully, so our method which is scientific and free of lacunae will provide useful guidelines to society. Today it is finding excellent uses has been proved and many have experienced it. I would like to share an important research thought related to an Applicable Astrology. Presently we are undergoing the Kaliyuga, hence who & to whom should be blamed is a problem. Zee TV in year 2001 had conducted a discussion where Dr Abdul Kalam said that to achieve the dream of a progressive India we require three types of people. Namely- 1 Virtuous People, 2 Virtuous Leaders & 3 Virtuous Administrations. These heavenly or righteous people alone can save our country &

Many people may not be aware of the vastness of the Astrology. A life time study might not be sufficient for Astrology. One may obtain a Astrology course certificate for a public display, but from such a yearly course one may gather a information but not a knowledge. This I can frankly mention on the basis of my 40 years studies
& research. As the school studies alone not be sufficient & students has to put the extra efforts of 15 to 16 years of homework to acquire degree, similarly Astrology is a comprehensive study demanding topic.
A horoscope based predictions are formulated on the basis of thousands of rules. Besides 7 Planets, 12 Houses & 12 Rashies if collectively applied to various applicable methods & Yogas, their permutation-combinations gets resulted in to over 3 lakh sentences of colossal verdict. Where a person with the rare spiritual capacity alone can guide the people from the Astrology point of views but what about the others? If the 10 rank holders in Astrology started giving 10 different answers for a common question asked then how the Astrology is going to get recognition as a science?
In real terms our scientific based Astrology is a science by itself. In this regard we are surely wrong somewhere. Since this subject is being wrongly handled by many students, the genuine researchers are started becoming vulnerable. 4 As mentioned earlier the studies of Astrology are beyond lifetime. By knowing this limitation one may avoid tall claims & sensationalism while offering guidance to others.
5 Fortune gets accumulated according to our deeds in a life. Spiritualism has given a great importance to this factor & mentioned it, a way of salvation. Our life depends on our capabilities, where inevitable destiny bound to create hurdles. How-ever for achieving aims in life our abilities are required to get proved. We human beings are therefore bestowed by nature with flexible body, intelligence, mind & a thinking capacity. We should make a worthy uses of these gifted faculties. If the Astrology advisors started demoralize the capabilities of their clients & started advocating & imposing their own remedies on them, then such foul play will bring nothing but the miseries in their life. You need not go to a Doctor, do as I say. If the Astrology guidelines reach this stage then it won’t survive for a long.
If the Astrology is being handled with these 5 important advices in mind neither it will get condemned in the society nor will the issues be raised about its authentic-ity.
